Tu, 06. May 2025 Immigration Office on Campus – Book Your Appointment! We are pleased to introduce IMPAACT - a new mobile in-person counseling service for international students at Aalen University provided by the Aalen Immigration Office. With IMPAACT, you can now meet with the Immigration Office (Ausländerbehörde) Aalen directly at the International Center – no need to go to the Rathaus. If you need to extend your visa or require an in-person consultation (Vorsprache), this service is for you! Here are the details: Appointments take place on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons. Appointments are currently available for international students residing in Aalen and are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please begin by completing the sign-up form. After registering, you will receive an email explaining how to proceed. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jennifer Doyle at jennifer.doyle@hs-aalen.de.

After all, many students come from all over the world. They bring the international campus to life and contribute to a cosmopolitan atmosphere. The university maintains strong relationships with more than 130 partner universities worldwide. In a series of articles, we highlight inspiring stories of students from our partner universities who have chosen to continue their academic journey at Aalen University. We, 19. March 2025 A significant number of international students recently took part in the orientation weeks held at the International Center of Aalen University of Applied Sciences. These individuals have enrolled in master's degree programs at the university, marking yet another milestone in the institution’s strategic efforts to contribute to the long-term availability of skilled professionals in the region. By offering an attractive and practice-oriented academic portfolio, coupled with strong global partnerships, Aalen University continues to draw a steadily increasing number of international students—whom it equips with the qualifications necessary for successful integration into the German labor market.

February 2025 Starting in the winter semester of 2025/2026, Aalen University will introduce two new English taught Bachelor’s degree programs: "Mechatronics Engineering" and "Mechanical Engineering." With this expansion, the university aims to attract not only international students but also German high school graduates, preparing them to become the highly skilled professionals of the future.

Tu, 28. January 2025 Students enrolled in the Electrical Engineering program at Aalen University now have the opportunity to obtain a Double Degree at the International University Liaison Indonesia (IULI) in Indonesia as part of their studies. Through this Double Degree program, participants can simultaneously earn two academic degrees—one from Aalen University and one from the partner institution in Indonesia—by completing an integrated study abroad component. This new partnership in Southeast Asia further strengthens the department’s international orientation and expands its global academic network, offering students a unique opportunity to enhance their professional and intercultural competencies on an international scale.

We, 18. Dezember 2024 "The best education for a clever person is found in travel," Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said. Inspired by this idea, Aalen University has built a strong network of more than 130 partner universities around the world since 1985. This initiative not only offers students the invaluable opportunity to gain international experience but also attracts students from around the globe for exchange semesters in Aalen. As part of a newly launched interview series, the university highlights the stories of international exchange students and their journeys to Aalen. Among them is Rita Bergami, who has been studying in Aalen since September. The Ostalb region marks another chapter in Germany for the Italian marketing student, who had previously explored other parts of the country. In the interview, she explains what makes Aalen special to her and how the university supports international students with a variety of programs and services.

Mo, 16. Dezember 2024 Many things simply work better together - this also applies to research. Collaborating with researchers from other countries is essential for scientific progress. However, the appropriate framework conditions must also be created for this. This is because international researchers often face challenges, be it visa applications, language barriers or finding accommodation. With its “Embrace” project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research with 500,000 euros, Aalen University provides international research talents with advice and support. “We want to welcome them with open arms,” says project coordinator Dr. Lola Bulut from the International Center at Aalen University.
