Th, 11. Dezember 2025 The Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) has published its latest results for master’s degree programs. At Aalen University, the master’s programs offered by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science achieved top-ranking positions in nine out of ten evaluation categories. The ranking assesses master’s programs across Germany on the basis of quantitative indicators as well as evaluations provided by students.

We, 26. November 2025 Last week, the International Center of Aalen University of Applied Sciences presented the 2025 German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Prize as well as two awards from the International Society Aalen e. V. (ISA). Students, lecturers, and additional guests came together to celebrate the commitment and achievements of the award recipients. The evening offered an impressive demonstration of how strongly lived interculturality connects and enriches the university community.

We, 29. October 2025 Aalen University of Applied Sciences underscored its international research expertise at the renowned Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems Conference (KES) 2025 in Japan. Nine researchers from the university attended the conference in Osaka, where they presented their work. In addition to delivering academic presentations, professors from Aalen University also contributed actively to shaping the conference program and evaluating submitted papers.

October 2025 At Aalen University of Applied Sciences, international early-career researchers meet every Tuesday for a shared lunch at the “Drop-in Lunch.” During these gatherings, participants exchange ideas about their research, share personal experiences, or discuss plans for the upcoming weekend. Often, a surprise guest joins them to provide insight into a specific topic. The initiative is organized by Embrace, the central service center for international researchers at Aalen University.

Representing the Rectors’ Conference of Universities of Applied Sciences Baden-Württemberg (HAW BW e.V.), Professor Dr. Harald Riegel, Rector of Aalen University and member of the Executive Board of the Rectors’ Conference, provided researchers active in the United States with insights into career opportunities, with a particular focus on positions at German Universities of Applied Sciences.

August 2025 International students Rita from Italy and Ahmad from Pakistan fondly recall their first days in Aalen: from the colorful city festival to the warm welcome by the International Center. The orientation weeks at Aalen University of Applied Sciences not only provided practical support but also countless opportunities to make new friends and discover the region. Today, both are committed to helping other international students, sharing their experiences and insights.
