Our ZiMATE and ZTN Research Buildings

Aalen University's research buildings on the Beethovenstraße campus were opened at the end of 2020. In the "Center of Innovative Materials and Technologies for Efficient Electrical Energy Conversion Machines" (ZiMATE) and the "Center for Technology for Sustainability (ZTN)", our researchers are making a relevant contribution to securing the future of the region.

Research Equipment

State-of-the-art equipment worth almost 30 million euros has been acquired from the state, federal government, EU and foundations over the last ten years. This makes it possible to address challenging research questions and opens up new fields of research, but also to provide future-oriented training for young scientists.
