Computer science in top positions in the CHE Ranking 2024

Degree programme at Aalen University of Applied Sciences impresses in several categories

In the current university ranking of the Centre for Higher Education Education (CHE) University Ranking, Aalen University's Computer Science program has achieved excellent results. It was recognized in several categories and is one of the best in Germany. The degree program scored particularly well in the fields (of) "Research Orientation" and "Supervision, counselling, support, mentoring by Lecturers".

In the current ranking by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE), students at Aalen University praised the practice-orientated, vocational training, the dedicated supervision, counselling, support, mentoring and the excellent career prospects that a computer science degree at Aalen University opens up. "This excellent result in the CHE ranking shows that we are on the right track," explains Prof. Dr. Klaus Maier, Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Science, and adds: "It is proof of the high quality of research and teaching at our institution of higher education and of the excellent preparation of our students for the requirements of industry." Course coordinator Prof. Dr. Gregor Grambow is also pleased with the good performance of computer science in the current ranking: "Our students are well prepared for the challenges of the digital future. We attach great importance to practice-orientated, with vocational-technical orientation teaching methods, which are complemented by close collaboration, cooperation with industry and modern research projects."

Excellent rankings in key areas

In the CHE Ranking 2024, Computer Science at Aalen University of Applied Sciences received special recognition in several key categories. According to students, an outstanding feature of the degree program is the individual supervision, counselling, support, mentoring by the lecturers at the institution of higher education. This intensive support not only supports academic success, but also creates a familiar learning atmosphere that is highly assessed, evaluated and appreciated by the students. This high level of personal support underlines the special character of Aalen University of Applied Sciences in its individual study support. Furthermore, Aalen University of Applied Sciences attaches great importance to practical vocational training that goes far beyond the lecture theatre.
