The Regional Alliance for Families East Württemberg focused on the fields (of) education, childcare, leisure, care and culture for the strategy day and invited numerous decision-makers from the region. In addition to lectures, technical lectures, a workshop was also part of the program to develop the future focus topics of the alliance.
The event (general) was opened by Prof. Dr. Jana Wolf, Board member of the alliance and Equal Opportunities Commissioner for academic staff and students, who was followed by President Prof. Dr. Harald Riegel and Heidenheim District Administrator Peter Polta, who welcomed the participants.
Dr. David Juncke, advisor to the federal and state governments on issues relating to the compatibility of family and career and key mark (UK) guidance, advice, and speaker at the Strategy Day, was enthusiastic about the diverse background of the participants, who came from all fields (US) of society in the region, right at the beginning of his talk; lecture. He emphasized that childcare is an important factor in terms of parents' employment as protection against poverty and referred to the current unmet need for childcare, which is also a problem for children of primary school age. Dr. Juncke also addressed the topic of care. As a major social challenge for the future, cross-generational solutions need to be found, with the integration of people with a migration background also playing a decisive role.
Lunch in the cafeteria at Burren was followed by a moderated, active World Café workshop with five topics (education, care, culture, childcare and leisure), with the group discussing the scientific questions in depth. The approximately 40 participating decision-makers from the East Württemberg region from the economy, business, politics and education concluded with a report-out, prioritization and a commitment to implement the insights gained.
This was followed by a speech by Thilo Rentschler, member of the (managing) board of the alliance and managing director of IHK Ostwürttemberg, who focused on the institution of higher education in Aalen. With the newly opened WIN building - in which the Management and Business Science faculty has found a new home - and the Digital Innovation Space digitization center, the institution of higher education is more than ever the center of the region. Rentschler also praised the commitment of the institution of higher education to the agreement of Studies and family, which is supported, for example, with new halls of residence on the Waldcampus and the newly opened Marie Curie daycare center, and gave the participants the following advice: "My heart still beats for Aalen as a former mayor. Now it is important that we implement the good results of the strategy day!"
