International researchers and their path to Aalen

Two doctoral candidates, doctoral students from Aalen University of Applied Sciences, whose roots lie in Iran and India, give personal insights into their biographies

In passport to this year's motto of the Intercultural Weeks - freedoms, borders and new spaces - two international researchers from Aalen University of Applied Sciences will talk about their origins and the circumstances of how they came to Aalen as part of the event "My Way to Aalen". Visitors can look forward to an open exchange with a small exhibition and culinary samples from the speakers' countries of origin on Monday, September 30, 2024, in VfR Aalen Forum 1.

"Freedoms, borders and new spaces" is the motto of this year's Intercultural Weeks in Aalen. Mayor Frederick Brütting emphasized at the presentation of the program: "The timing couldn't be better. Rarely has it been more important to deal with diversity and Intercultural skills". 36 associations and institutions, including the Aalen University of Applied Sciences, are shaping the program. The topics of freedom and freedom privileges, perceiving borders and breaking them down are reflected in a variety of ways.

In the program of Aalen University of Applied Sciences, Niloofar Aghajanpoor Kalastari, doctoral candidate, in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Kishansinh Rathod, doctoral candidate, in the Department of Materials Research (IMFAA), talk about their very personal history, their impressions and experiences on their way to Aalen. The interview will be conducted in English. Afterwards, both protagonists will be available for further questions in a personal conversation. The evening will be rounded off by a small exhibition with pictures and personal exhibits as well as some Persian and Indian specialties. )
