What is GreenTech?
Innovative GreenTech technologies help to minimize environmental impacts, increase resource efficiency and promote sustainable practices; practical experiences in various fields (of). These include, for example, renewable energy systems, material and energy efficiency technologies as well as supporting practices; sustainable Supply Chain Management and sustainable Strategic Management.
By integrating technology and sustainability, GreenTech strives to minimize the negative impact of human activities on the environment while achieving commercial, economical, profitable, financial, cost-effective benefits. At a time when climate change and environmental issues are taking center stage, GreenTech is becoming increasingly important. These advances help to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, reduce CO2 emissions and improve the quality of life on earth in the long term.
With funds, financial resources and innovative GreenTech solutions, companies can act in an environmentally sustainable way and at the same time strengthen their competitive position. GreenTech enables companies to design more efficient operating processes, reduce resource consumption and cut operating costs at the same time. This not only strengthens the company's image and credibility, but can also help to attract talent and build long-term customer relationships. With GreenTech, companies can pursue long-term sustainability goals and at the same time operate successfully.

Recognizing potential - seizing opportunities
Sustainable Studies begin with choosing the right training location. In order to meet the ever-increasing demands of the economy, business and industry in the field (of) sustainability, Aalen University of Applied Sciences launched the "Green Technology and Economy" qualification program back in 2020.
Until now, this innovative offer was reserved exclusively for students of selected Bachelor's programs in the Faculties of Electronics & Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering & Material Science. Since the winter semester 2023/2024, Aalen University of Applied Sciences has also been awarding the "Green Technology and Economy" certificate to students of the Masters (UK)/master's (US) in Sustainable Strategic Management.
Increase GreenTech skills and acquire the certificate
In order to receive the "Green Technology and Economy" certificate, at least 30 credits must be earned in relevant modules. This certificate enables graduates to highlight their assignment, credit, performance and increase their career opportunities in the innovative GreenTech industries.
Growing appointment funding for professors; appointment funds
GreenTech markets are economic drivers and are considered a significant job engine worldwide. According to the forecasts of the GreenTech Atlas 2025, the gross value added of the GreenTech sector could grow to over 620 billion euros by 2045. This creates a win-win situation for the economy, business, work stations and the protection of our livelihoods.
There is an increasing focus on environmental innovations worldwide. In particular, the cross-sectoral industry of environmental technology and resource efficiency is developing dynamically. Companies active in these fields (of) are increasingly looking for qualified staff with in-depth knowledge and vocational training accordingly.
