Mo, 18. November 2019 On Saturday, the twelfth Karl Amon Optometry Award was presented at Aalen University. This year, the prize worth a total of 2,000 Euros goes to Stephanie Felgner and Tom Koellmer. The two successful graduates of the study program "M.Sc. Vision Science and Business (Optometry)" received the award for outstanding scientific work with high practical benefits for the optometry practices during the graduation ceremony.

Matthias Metz, Member of the Executive Board of the ZEISS Group and Head of the ZEISS Consumer Markets Division, informed about sustainability, responsibility and innovation. Students learned how companies and employees can contribute to a better future for millions of people in times of global challenges such as climate change.

25 Master students from seven nations as well as professors and staff in the ZEISS Vision Consulting Studio

25 highly motivated Master students from seven nations - from Germany, Italy, Colombia, Switzerland, Slovenia, Austria and Thailand - study in the 2019/20 class in the extra-occupational M.Sc. Vision Science and Business (Optometry) at Aalen University. On Friday, September 27, 2019, the Vision Therapy module began with two Professors from the College of Optometry at Pacific University, Forest Grove, OR, USA. Program Director, Prof. Dr. Anna Nagl, together with employees of the ophthalmic optics/optometry study program, presented the ZEISS Vision consulting studio, which was recently equipped with the most modern equipment from ZEISS VISUFIT 1000. In this consulting studio, Bachelor students learn and practice with the latest technology and in practical situations.
