The International Relations Office (IRO) is the go-to place for information concerning international students looking to attend Aalen University, as well as students looking to go abroad and study with our foreign partner institutions.

Support for Incomings (Come-In Studies): The IRO admits exchange students and free movers from (partner) universities abroad. Inquiries related to English taught study offers can be addressed to the IRO. An English Taught Lectures Catalogue can be found in the "Come-In Studies" section.

Support for Outgoings (Go-Out Studies & Go-Out Placements): The IRO advises students, professors, and staff of Aalen University with questions about studies, final thesis, language courses, postgraduate degree courses, doctoral, guest professorships, industrial placement semesters abroad and research stays on foreign partners and other universities. Practical questions about putting together applications for foreign institutions, visa, scholarships, and grant applications, and international insurance can be answered in the IRO. Scholarships applications from university members are typically handed into the IRO, where student and staff/faculty exchanges are planned and organized.
