Aalen University is located in the eastern part of the state of Baden-Württemberg in a geographically and economically attractive environment. Aalen, home of 67.000 inhabitants, is able to offer many opportunities, since it merges characteristics of a major city with the charm of a small town. Since Aalen is close to many of Germany’s most famous sightseeing locations, you can easily take day trips to Stuttgart, Munich, Ulm, Augsburg or Nuremberg. By its twin cities in the UK, France, Hungary, Italy and Turkey and its annual international festivals Aalen has established a positive environment for students from abroad. In 2005, Aalen was awarded Germany‘s Friendliest Immigration Office by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Donors‘ Association for the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities in Germany.
