An exclusion from an examination is not unexpected for most of those affected - but it is still usually a shock. Reasons for an exclusion from an examination can be
- CP exclusion
- Subject exclusion (examination failed/failed for the 2nd or 3rd time)
- Time exclusion.
What do I have to do?
You will receive a hearing to which you can respond within the specified deadline (usually two weeks). If you are refused further admission to the course of studies, you have the opportunity to lodge an appeal. If this is also rejected, you can take legal action.
You can find more information on the various reasons for exclusion and your options for responding on the website of the Examination Office.
We at the STUDENT COUNSELLING SERVICE will give you advice if you are wondering how to proceed (application, request for approval to continue studying, hardship claim, objection, change of degree programme, dropout, etc.).
The best way to do this is to make an appointment, date and time via our appointment booking tool or send us an email to studienberatung@hs-aalen.de.
