Prof. Dr. Lorena Körner and Prof. Dr. Regina Kempen gave a vivid introduction to business psychology and answered the question "How can work be designed in such a way that it remains healthy and fulfilling in the long term?". They presented their research approaches Study Crafting and Boundary Management as explanatory and methodological support approaches.
Prof. Dr. Sarah Gentner-Röhrer (vascular surgeon, University of Applied Sciences Aalen) gave exciting insights into the abdominal aortic aneurysm - an often unnoticed dilation of the aorta with potentially life-threatening consequences - in her lecture "The silent killer". She explained risk factors, diagnosis, treatment and prevention and was available to answer questions from the audience afterwards.
Students on the Physician Assistant course gave a practical demonstration of what is involved in resuscitation, how ultrasound examinations work and how blood pressure is measured correctly. The demonstrations gave visitors the opportunity to see real-life procedures and ask questions.
The event underlined the combination of research and practical training at Aalen University of Applied Sciences and was met with great interest by the guests.
