Thank you for your interest in our Master's programme in Business Informatics. The Master's programme focuses on the topic of "Big Data & Business Analytics" in the context of business management issues. For companies, the ability to process constantly growing amounts of data (to extract knowledge and information from it), to analyse it meaningfully and to be able to make appropriate operational and strategic decisions from it has become a priority. In this context, we talk also of data-driven companies. The reason for this is the increasing importance of these data as raw materials of our age and their impact on business processes and strategic decisions in a globally operating economy.
Within our interdisciplinary Master's programme, we prepare our students specifically for these exciting specialist and management tasks in the field of Data Science by teaching sound know-how in business administration, quantitative analytics, as well as (business) informatics, and by testing and implementing it in practical exercises and projects.
Students will find a modern study programme developed according to the latest scientific findings and practical experience, which meets the requirements of professional practice. Through our networking with local and internationally active companies, we are able to align teaching content with the latest requirements of companies - i.e. your potential employers.
