Excursions & practical lectures
Lectures are supported by talks by professionals. In this context, students may engage in professional discussions and network with company representatives.
Excursions at home and abroad are included in the programme. Universities and companies are usually visited during the excursion. This broadens the experience of students, helps to gain additional perspective and enables networking on an international level.
Social exchange
Of course the students meet not only for learning, but they also go to bars, the Christmas fair or they arrange their own parties. This does not only increase the fun but also team spirit and group cohesion.
Additional qualifications/general studies
General studies are an integral part of the course of studies. This programme is intended for students to acquire other qualifications beyond the curriculum of their study programme and social commitment.
The career and founder's centre of the Aalen University of Applied Sciences (Aalen UAS) provides a huge selection of free advanced courses and talk events for students, staff and the interested general public. More about the acquisition of credit points in the general studies you may find here.
Semester ticket
If you are a student at Aalen UAS, you may use the OstalbMobil semester ticket to ride commuter trains and buses to university for favourable prices. You can select one out of three options. More details and an information flyer are available here (Semester ticket).
Living

Eating
You will find a canteen and two cafeterias on the campus of Aalen UAS offering a vast choice of cold and warm dishes and drinks. Please, find the current menu table here.
