We, 21.

Tu, 24. October 2023 At the LaserApplicationCenter (LAZ) at Aalen University, research is being conducted into how future technologies can be applied in practice and not just in theory. The university is particularly strong in the areas of "photonics" and "new materials and manufacturing technologies". This is not least due to the fact that these fields of research have a great deal of potential - especially for industry in the region.

Th, 19. October 2023 Smartphones, electric cars, wind turbines: there is hardly any area of life in which lithium-ion batteries are not used. The energy storage devices are versatile, have a high energy density, low self-discharge and long-lasting performance. If they could be improved in some aspects, the benefits would be enormous. Aalen University is researching processes that could enable the production of cost-effective, environmentally friendly and safe battery components.
