Heidenheim

International Office

About the University:

The Baden-Württemberg Cooperative University is the first dual, practice-integrating university in Germany. The organizational structure of the DHBW at the central and decentralized level, similar to the US State University system, is unique in Germany. The DHBW Heidenheim is the easternmost of nine DHBW sites within the State.

DHBW Heidenheim maintains contacts with almost 50 universities in 27 different countries.

About the International Office:

The International Office of DHBW Heidenheim is the starting point for DHBW students who would like to spend one semester abroad and for international students who come to Heidenheim for an exchange semester or for an internship.

In the area of "Outgoings", the IO informs and advises students, professors on issues related to international semesters, international studies, guest professorships and research stays.

In preparation for a stay abroad, the IO organizes language courses and intercultural trainings for its students, which are also open to employees.

In the "Incomings" section, the International Office organizes the "International Program" with English-language lectures for exchange students. The program also organizes internships for selected participants. The IO advises the incomings in advance on all questions such as visa, health insurance and accommodation in Heidenheim and looks after the international students during their stay.
