Doctoral College
More than 100 researchers with an intent to pursue a doctoral degree carry out their research in applied and practical topics at Aalen university. The doctorates are usually supervised in cooperation with universities in Germany and abroad.
In the Doctoral College, we support you in the process of pursuing your PhD and in the facilitation of your further career. Our offers include qualification courses on disciplinary and interdisciplinary topics as well individual counseling on all matters concerning the doctorate. In addition, we facilitate the networking between doctoral researchers and the connection to science and industry.

Our offers are aimed at Master's students interested in pursuing a PhD, doctoral researchers as well as all researchers. Topics of the workshops and talks are for example:

Counseling
When pursuing a PhD, problems and issues of all kinds can arise: Issues concerning the doctorate, difficult situations in the professional or the private environment, or questions about your future career perspective. We support you in all phases of your PhD, whether you are currently thinking of getting started with a PhD or publishing your thesis. We will address your topics in an individual and confidential setting.

Support for International Researchers
In addtion to the academic support, Aalen University offers comprehensive non-academic support through the Embrace Service Center for International Researchers. This service center assists international researchers, doctoral candidates, and visiting scholars with integration, networking, and practical matters like visa or accomodation.
