Cooperation Partners
The involvement of cooperation partners, such as the Chambers of Industry and Commerce of East Württemberg and Heilbronn-Franken as well as the Chambers of Crafts of Ulm and Heilbronn-Franken, ensures the practical orientation of the consulting concept.
In December 2022, the Chambers of Crafts had to reduce their commitment due to a lack of staff. In mid-2023, the Chambers of Industry and Commerce of Stuttgart and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Oberschwaben joined, while the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Heilbronn-Franken withdrew. In June 2024, the Chambers of Crafts of Ulm, Reutlingen, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Mannheim and Bauwirtschaft BW were won as new partners, who took over the piloting of the Chambers of Crafts after a multiplier training course.
Since by far the majority of chamber members are micro and small enterprises, the cooperation is ideally suited to the target group of the project. The chambers know the needs of SMEs in terms of cybersecurity and can promote targeted measures through their network of consultants. The chambers, in particular the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Ostwürttemberg, supported the project through professional exchange, surveys, the placement of SMEs for pilot projects and the provision of advice. By including the Cyber Security Check for SMEs in their advisory services, they were able to expand their offering to include initial cybersecurity advice, free of charge for member companies.
The expansion to other multipliers is being driven forward by the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg and will run beyond 2024.
Other partners
In addition, expertise from security authorities, in particular the State Criminal Police Office, the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, the Center for Neuroscience and Learning (ZNL) Ulm and an IT service provider, was included. A target group-oriented consultation process and implementable recommendations for measures were developed in several workshops and working group meetings. The concept was developed in three preparatory workshops, followed by further sessions to develop the stage model, initial consultation and basic procedures.
