Personal and scientific development at the top level and great benefits for optometry practices - these achievements lead to the award of the Karl Amon Optometry Award. The winners in 2021 are Anna Bachmann and Stefanie Schuster. Anna Bachmann, together with the long-term cooperation partner and experienced lecturer at Aalen University, Prof. Hannu Laukkanen from the College of Optometry at the US Pacific University in Forest Grove/Oregon, has written an empirically based basic Masterthesis on the assessment of visual acuity and stereopsis in anisometropic amblyopic adolescents and adults after contact lens correction. Stefanie Schuster was honored for her master's thesis, which illuminates the prospects for cooperation between ophthalmologists and optometrists. Stefanie Schuster was supervised by the Swiss optometrist and master’s graduate Markus Hofmann and the Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Anna Nagl and the statistics expert Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Kleppmann.
