This year the 13th annual alumni event of the internationally renowned master’s course “M.Sc. Vision Science and Business (Optometry)” took place online. A high class program was offered on July 4 and 5 2020, attended by participants from all over the world. Around 90 alumni, current students and specialists were involved.
Prof. Hannu Laukkanen from Pacific University in Oregon presented twice. With his lectures, he encouraged the entire group to interact and exchange roles. Prof. Lorne Yudocovitch also from the Pacific University lectured on OCT angiography and emergency glaucoma management. Prof Bina Patel from the New England College of Optometry in Boston about non-retinal ocular caused by diabetes. The scientific program ended with a lecture on the subject of ciliary body melanoma, left with expressive case studies by Joanne Caruso from the New England College of Optometry.
Save the Date: The date for the 14th alumni event is already fixed: We are looking forward to a broad variety of lectures by internationally recognized lecturers in Benediktbeuern on July 17 and 18, 2021.
