12th Alumni-Event of the Master Program „Vision Science and Business (Optometry)“
During the 12th yearly Alumni-Event of the internationally well-known Master program “M.Sc. Vision Science and Business (Optometry)” on the 20th and 21st July 2019 an exceptional program was shown. About 80 Alumni and current students participated at interactive presentations and listened to exciting lectures from speakers from Europe and the USA.
Two times different optometric cases were presented by Dr. Bina Patel of the New England College of Optometry, Boston, MA. The listeners could actively discuss about diagnosis and management of the cases. There were also two lecturers from the second partner university of the “M.Sc. Vision Science and Business (Optometry)”. Dr. Ryan Bulson and Dr. Karl Citek (Pacific University, Forest Grove, OR) they talked about Glaucoma prevention and the effects of blue light on the eye. Furthermore, interesting master thesis presentations and more presentations about research, optometry and contact lenses completed the diverse program. As always the meeting of the “Aalen Friends of Optometry e.V” Club was held and the following party gave the participants the possibility for further discussions.
Save the date: The 13th Alumni-Event takes place in Benediktbeuern on July 4 and 5, 2020. You can look forward to a various and interesting presentations by international recognized lecturers.
