Installing the charging station on campus
Andreas Ly, a bachelor student in Mechanical Engineering/Product Development and Simulation developed and built a solar charging station for Yangon Technological University in Myanmar as his final project while doing a semester abroad. This charging station is a starting point for e-mobility in Myanmar and is also a symbol of cooperation between Aalen University and YTU in Yangon, a partnership which will be built up further in the coming years.
Professor Frank Gärtner, who supervised Ly, is convinced that there is a huge potential for Aalen students here, with personal engagement in real projects that are proving to be highly useful. The prototype was realized with big support from small businesses in the area as well as the International Society Aalen e.V. (ISA e.V.).
