International Week 2023 offered numerous opportunities to network with international visitors and exchange ideas in English.

Aalen The University celebrates its annual International Week from June 4th – 8th. Professors, as well as researchers from partner universities from all over the world bring „international flair“ to the campus with their guest lectures. The guest lectures in English are mainly aimed at students in order to provide initial points of contact with international teaching and research. The International Center of the university would like to promote intercultural encounters with its guests and therefore invites the public to around 25 ninety-minute lectures in English as part of the Studium Generale. The contributions deal with a variety of topics that Aalen University and its partners are researching.

One of the objectives of the International Week is to strengthen the cooperation within the new European alliance, especially in the field of research. This alliance was founded by Aalen University together with nine other European universities, in order to actively participate in the further development of the European education system and to help shape its future. Over 30 international visitors from the partner universities would also like to network with researchers from Aalen University and find out about exchange opportunities for students.

On Friday, the lecture series ends with a first-class lecture from Prof. Dr. Miranda Fateri. The Professor of Aalen University and researcher will give an inspiring talk on the topic „One small step towards space manufacturing, a potentially big step towards understanding the universe“. The International Center is looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors to the public lecture on Friday the 7th of June 2024 from 14.00-15.30 in the Audimax.
