Renewable energies, electrification and autonomous systems through artificial intelligence are the major challenges on the way to the society of the future. In these fields, innovative materials and their optimization play an important role: Digital microscope images - evaluated by machine learning methods - provide important insights into existing properties and improvement potentials of future-relevant materials. Here, too, in the field of microscopy, there has been enormous further development during the past few years in the digitization and use of machine learning methods, which the Materials Research Institute at Aalen University will present at the 4th Aalen Materials Microscopy Day (A² MMT IV) on July 14. The event, which will feature presentations by top-notch speakers from industry and research, is free for students and regularly costs 110 euros.
