Ziel der Thesis:
Ziel dieser Bachelorarbeit ist die allgemeine Wahrnehmung für Sehstress zu erhöhen und zusätzlich soll die Anwendung des VIVIOR Monitors beim Augenoptiker zum Standard in der Beratung werden: Außerdem sollen Konzepte entwickelt werden, die den Ablauf mit dem VIVIOR Monitor vereinfachen und optimieren.
Methode/Vorgehensweise:
Diese Arbeit kombiniert Literaturrecherche und Entwicklung eines Konzeptes. Zu diesem Zweck wurde eine Literaturrecherche durchgeführt, die dazu dient, Hintergrundinformationen zu Sehstressmanagement, Sehstress und VIVIOR zu finden. Darüber hinaus werden Meetings mit der Firma VIVIOR AG geführt, um weitere Informationen über Sehstress, aber auch Informationen über das Device VIVIOR Monitor zu erhalten.
Um bei dem Teil der Entwicklung eines Konzeptes dieser Arbeit gerecht zu werden, wurden die Interview mit verschiedenen Augenoptikläden geführt und ausgewertet. Diese Ergebnisse wurden darauf in das Konzept implementiert.
Ergebnisse:
Diese Arbeit dient zur Grundlage für Implementierung weitere Konzepte. Außerdem hat es erfolgreich dazu beigetragen, den Ablauf mit dem VIVIOR Monitor beim Augenoptiker zu vereinfachen und zu verbessern. Der Einsatz des VIVIOR Monitors konnte deshalb weiter gesteigert werden.
Schlussfolgerung:
Zukünftig können weitere Verbesserungen und Vertiefungen durchgeführt werden, die dazu beitragen, den Ablauf und die Anwendung für den Kunden zu vereinfachen. Zudem kann die Effektivität des Einsatzes erhöht werden und zukünftig als Standardprodukt verwendet werden.

Abstract
Die Kompetenz zur Leistung Erster Hilfe ist in unserer Gesellschaft nicht ausreichend
vorhanden. Neben kostenpflichtigen Erste-Hilfe-Kursen existiert kein frei zugängliches
Übungsangebot, welches eine ausreichend realistische Trainingsumgebung bietet.
Als Lösung für dieses Problem wird in dieser Bachelorarbeit ein Erste-Hilfe-Simulator
für die Virtuelle Realität (VR) mit Hilfe der Entwicklungsplattform Unity entwickelt.
Um ein erfolgreiches Serious Game zu entwickeln, werden zunächst Erfolgsfaktoren
definiert und bereits existierende Serious Games zum Thema Erste Hilfe analysiert.
Das entwickelte Serious Game dient zur Vermittlung von Erste-Hilfe-Kompetenzen bei
einem Verkehrsunfall. Damit kann die Einhaltung der Rettungskette, darunter das Absetzen
eines Notrufs, als auch die korrekte Durchführung einer Herz-Lungen-Wiederbelebung,
risikofrei trainiert werden.
Die Evaluation zeigte, dass der entwickelte Erste-Hilfe-Simulator ein effektives VRSpiel
ist, welches eine solide Grundlage darstellt und einfach um weitere Erste-Hilfe-
Maßnahmen und Szenarien erweitert werden kann.

Abstract
Die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit setzt sich mit dem Thema: „Integration eines Standalone-
Kapselendoskopie-Dokumentationssystem in das Krankenhaus-Informationssystem mittels
HL7-Schnittstellen“ auseinander. Zu diesem Zwecke wurde zunächst eine Literaturanalyse
durchgeführt, um einen Überblick über die Bestandteile und die bisherige Forschung zu
diesem Thema zu geben. Anschließend wurde eine eigene Umsetzung des Themas
durchgeführt, dessen Ergebnisse präsentiert und diskutiert wurden.
Das Hauptaugenmerk dieses Projektes lag darauf, die Auswirkungen der Umsetzung zu
untersuchen und zu prüfen, ob der Ablauf der Kapselendoskopie (KE) im Klinikum Heidenheim
verbessert werden konnte. Des Weiteren wurde die Frage untersucht, welchen Mehrwert die
Anwender durch die Implementierung des Projektes erhalten würden.
Durch den Anschluss des Standalone-Kapselendoskopie-Dokumentationsystems an das
Krankenhausinformationssystem (KIS) und die Einrichtung einer Schnittstelle zur
Konvertierung von HL7-Nachrichten in das XML-Format, sowie die Konfiguration der PillCam-
Reader-Software für Ärztezimmer, wurde der Ablauf der Kapselendoskopie für die Anwender
deutlich verbessert.
Das Projekt führte zu Zeitersparnis für Ärzte, durch die Möglichkeit, aus ihren eigenen
Zimmern zu arbeiten, zur Schaffung eines neuen Arbeitsplatzes für die Endoskopie-Abteilung
und zur Automatisierung der Aufnahme von Patientendaten bei KE-Untersuchungen.
Außerdem zu Kosteneinsparungen durch den Bau einer eigenen Schnittstelle für die
Nachrichtentransformation anstelle des Kaufs einer vorgefertigten Schnittstelle.
Im Allgemeinen bedeutet dies Zeitersparnis, Flexibilität und somit mehr Zeit für andere
Aufgaben sowie eine verbesserte Diagnosemöglichkeit. Insgesamt führte das Projekt zu einer
Verbesserung des gesamten Ablaufs der Kapselendoskopie von der Aufnahme des Patienten
bis zur Befundung der Untersuchung.
Das Projekt hat erfolgreich dazu beigetragen, den Ablauf der Kapselendoskopie zu verbessern
und die Anwender zu unterstützen. Zukünftig könnten weitere Verbesserungen durchgeführt
werden, die dazu beitragen, die Zufriedenheit der Anwender und die Effektivität der
Kapselendoskopie weiter zu erhöhen.

Abstract
Hintergrund
Diese Arbeit erforscht ein inhaltliches Konzept einer hypothetischen App, welche das Ziel hat die Versorgung von Patienten mit seltener Erkrankung zu verbessern. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist Patientenbedürfnisse mit implementierbaren App-Modulen in Verbindung zu setzen und so eine Grundlage zu schaffen, auf welcher weitere Forschung und Produktentwicklung aufbauen kann.
Wichtigkeit & Ziele
Die Arbeit wird von der Frage geleitet, wie sich mit digitalen Technologien auf seltene Erkrankungen einwirken lässt?
Hierfür wird die Frage erforscht, in wie weit die Bedürfnisse von Betroffenen einer seltenen Erkrankung genrealisierbar sind. Um die bestehende Technologie zu verstehen wird der Stand und der Leistungsumfang bestehender digitale Lösungen für seltene Erkrankungen betrachtet.
Methoden
Zur Beantwortung der Fragen wurde eine literarische Recherche durchgeführt. Auf Basis dieser Literatur wurde ein theoretisches Modell erstellt. Um dem explorativen Charakter dieser Arbeit gerecht zu werden wurden acht Experteninterviews geführt und ausgewertet und die Ergebnisse mit dem theoretischen Modell synthetisiert.
Ergebnisse
Im Bereich der Psychologischen Bedürfnisse und der Informationsbedürfnisse bestehen die größten Potentiale durch eine App-Anwendung die Versorgungs- und Lebens-Qualität positiv zu beeinflussen.
Schlussfolgerung & Relevanz
Die Arbeit dient als Grundlage für weitere Forschung und Produktentwicklung. Die erarbeitete Zuweisung von Patientenbedürfnissen zu App-Modulen muss validiert werden, kann aber bereits jetzt als Überblick dienen aus der neue Forschungsfragen gestellt werden. Des Weiteren kann diese Arbeit als Ausgangspunkt zur Produktentwicklung einer Health-App für seltene Erkrankungen genutzt werden.

Abstract
Background
In Germany, 257,000 people suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrest every year. To increase the survival rate, the time from collapse to the start of cardiopulmo-nary resuscitation and defibrillation should not exceed 4 minutes. Many studies have shown that first responder programmes can contribute to this. However, this requires that enough users accept the alarm.
Importance & Objectives
First responder alert systems play an important role in sur-vival rates, therefore this thesis evaluates how high the acceptance of these systems is, especially in Germany. The bachelor thesis aims to increase the user numbers of the apps in Germany by identifying barriers and incentives to use them.
Methods
This paper combines literature research and quantitative research. The re-search is used to find background information on such systems at national and inter-national level. In addition, talks are being held with some of the app providers to obtain more information. The quantitative part, which consists of the survey, is aimed at peo-ple with medical training or a resuscitation qualification. The distribution is all over Baden-Württemberg. Finally, the research questions are answered and possible solu-tions for increasing the number of users are provided.
Findings
The research showed that first responders contribute greatly to the survival rate after a cardiovascular arrest. Through the survey it became clear that many are aware of one of the apps, but the number who are unaware of these systems is too high with 36%. The research showed that the main barriers to use first responders apps are lack of knowledge and fear of losing privacy. Possible solutions are increased public relations work and recognition of the performance of first responders.

Titel: Das Gesundheitswesen im Wandel – wie sich die Kommunikation zwischen Patienten und Arztpraxen medizinischer Versorgungszentren aufgrund der Digitalisierung verändert

Abstract
Die Digitalisierung trifft uns mittlerweile in allen Lebensbereichen. Doch während wir viele persönliche und geschäftliche Angelegenheiten per App, Smartphone oder zumindest online erledigen können, ist das deutsche Gesundheitswesen noch sehr analog und papiergebunden. Die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit untersucht Kommunikationsprozesse in Arztpraxen sowie die bisherigen und die zu erwartenden Veränderungen hinsichtlich des Versorgungsprozesses. Denn trotz der voranschreitenden Digitalisierung unseres Lebensalltags und unserer Kommunikation vereinbaren 71,4 % der im Rahmen dieser Bachelorarbeit befragten Personen ihre Arzttermine telefonisch, obwohl sich 34% eine Online- Terminbuchung wünschen würden. Patient:innen und Expert:innen haben unlängst die Verbesserungspotentiale der Digitalisierung in den Bereichen der Effizienzsteigerung und Verkürzung der Kommunikationsprozesse erkannt. Trotz der Vorteile sind zeitlich begrenzte Ressourcen und hohe Kosten für die Implementierung auf Seiten des medizinischen und ärztlichen Fachpersonals und das Thema Datenschutz und digitale Skills auf Seiten der Patient:innen Hürden für die Umsetzung. Trotz der gesetzlichen Rahmenbedingungen bremsen zudem Bürokratische Hürden eine digitale Transformation im Gesundheitswesen aus. So dauerte es von einer Planung bis zur Einführung der elektronischen Gesundheitskarte 16 Jahre. Weitere Anwendungen wie die elektronische Arbeitsunfähigkeitsbescheinigung und das elektronische Rezept konnten bislang trotz gesetzlicher Vorgaben nicht flächendeckend eingeführt werden. Der Roll-Out zeigte, dass es in den Arztpraxen und Apotheken noch an technischer Ausstattung für eine Nutzung mangelt.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the legal basis and framework conditions for me-dical care structures in order to obtain essential findings on the needs of the population in the Ostalbkreis district in a quantitative empirical study. The background of this study is a planned clinic structure reform.
The first research question examines care structures in an international comparison based on theory, which achieve a good evaluation by patients and employees. The se-cond research question focuses on the outcomes that result with corresponding costs in a good health care system. The third research question, "What characterizes good health care systems from the point of view of the population?" asks people in the Ost-albkreis district.
For this purpose, a questionnaire is designed on the basis of the theory part. The ans-wers are evaluated and discussed in an empirical part descriptively-statistically, for example by correlation analyses.
The main findings suggest that the family doctor is the most important local contact person and that medical care structures need to be expanded, especially in rural areas. Furthermore, discrepancies in the importance with regard to the subjective evaluation of the emergency room are revealed. Furthermore, the findings show that young pe-ople are much more open to telemedical solutions than older people, which must be taken into account in structural reform. It is also apparent that older people are more willing to travel further distances for high-quality care. On this basis, the multicausality to be taken into account by decision-makers in the practical implementation of that clinic structural reform becomes apparent.

Background and aim of the bachelor thesis
The systemic relevance of nursing professions has been under discussion by politicians and society for many years, especially the question of how the nursing profession can be upgraded. The drastic working conditio ns in the nursing sector are criticized. In current studies, demands for self determined and flexible working hours are increasingly coming into focus. This bachelor thesis investigates how flexible working hours can be implemented in inpatient nursing car e facilities.
Methodology
Use cases are created for the establishment of the flexible working time model “Flexi Dienst”. These determine the organizational and technical requirements by means of eight expert interviews and the summarizing content analysis according to Mayring. In addition, application software from the social collaboration software categories is identified and listed for the use cases, each of which supports the workflow processes.
Results
The use cases Communication and Information Process, Task Management and Duty Scheduling have developed from the flexible working time model “Flexi Dienst”. The organizational requirements for the use case Communication and Information Processes describe a communication and information structure that is s upported by means of a messenger service, an employee application, and digital nursing documentation. The use case Task Management defines the management of tasks and is supported by digital inpatient tour planning. The use case Duty Scheduling represents the creation of duty schedules taking into account the “Flexi Dienst”. It is relieved by means of the duty platform.
Conclusion and discussion
The flexible working time model “Flexi Dienst” can be implemented in inpatient nursing care facilities thanks to the organizational and technical requirements that have been developed. In order to achieve an even better establishment of the “Flexi Dienst”, further use cases should be specified and a utility value analysis of the determined application software of th e use cases should be carried out.

Abstract
This bachelor thesis is entitled as "E-Mental-Health: ICT-based Interventions for Anxiety Disorders - Will Therapists Become Needless?" and deals with the status quo of current ICT-based interventions for anxiety disorders.
The aim of this thesis is to analyse what applications are currently available, what are the limitations and challenges, and what are the implications for healthcare. It will ana-lyse the digitalisation of traditional interventions using information and communica-tion technology and the extent to which its implementation can support psychotherapy. Furthermore, the current market situation of ICT-based applications for anxiety disor-ders in Germany, Sweden, Australia and America will be examined. Various DiGAs are also listed and described in more detail, which, among other things, use VR glasses as exposure therapy.
The research questions addressed in this thesis reach around the topic of anxiety dis-orders. First, the conventional interventions are described in more detail and then the apps and applications that implement these different therapeutic approaches are described in detail. Furthermore, it will be examined to what extent ICT-based inter-ventions can support or complement psychotherapy, for example, as a bridging mea-sure for waiting times or in blended care concepts.
Among other things, the empirical investigation should reveal the current acceptance and willingness to use such ICT-based interventions for anxiety disorders in the diffe-rent user and age groups. Furthermore, which internet-based interventions are most preferred by the users and which areas are most likely to be preferred.
For this purpose, a 2-week online survey was conducted with a sample of 124 partici-pants. The results of this survey show that there is interest in using such digital approa-ches for mental health.

digital voice assistants. In particular, voice-controlled user interfaces, known as "Voice
User Interfaces," are on the rise. The natural language communication between humans
and computers is one of the main reasons for the popularity of this technology. Thanks to
technologies like Natural Language Processing, voice assistants can now do much more
than just answer simple questions. They provide added value for users and are utilized in
various application areas.
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the potential of voice assistants in the field of
healthcare. It investigates how voice assistants can be used to simplify the tasks of
healthcare professionals and enhance the well-being of patients. Through the analysis of
specialized literature, the utilization of voice assistants in the healthcare sector is explained,
and a thorough examination is conducted to assess the strengths and weaknesses
of voice assistants. To gain further insights, user interviews are conducted using
questionnaires.
The results demonstrate that voice assistants have great potential in the healthcare sector.
For example, they can be used for monitoring vital signs, reminding patients to take
medication, or supporting healthcare professionals in documentation tasks.
Overall, the bachelor's thesis shows that voice assistants are a promising tool in the
healthcare field, contributing to the ease of work for healthcare professionals and enhancing
the quality of life for patients. However, it is essential to consider the requirements
and needs of users and adapt the technology accordingly.

Abstract
Zentrales Ziel dieser Bachelorarbeit ist es, ein umfassendes Verständnis dafür zu ent-wickeln, wie junge Menschen mit Krebs in ihrer einzigartigen Lebenssituation besser unterstützt werden können. Dieses Projekt ist von entscheidender Bedeutung, da junge Krebspatienten je nach Alter und Lebensphase mit besonderen Herausforderungen konfrontiert sind. In dieser verletzlichen Lebensphase, die durch persönliche und beruf-liche Entwicklung, Identitäts- und soziale Beziehungsbildung sowie Familienplanung gekennzeichnet ist, stellt der Kampf gegen den Krebs eine Vielzahl physischer, emoti-onaler, beruflicher und sozialer Herausforderungen dar. Ziel dieser Bachelorarbeit ist es, ein vertieftes Verständnis für die spezifischen Bedürfnisse dieser jungen Menschen zu erlangen und darauf aufbauend konkrete Fördermaßnahmen zu entwickeln.
Um dies zu erreichen, haben wir einen mehrdimensionalen Ansatz gewählt, der auf einer umfangreichen Literaturrecherche, qualitativen Interviews mit Betroffenen sowie einer Analyse bestehender Unterstützungsprogramme basiert. Dieser Ansatz zielt da-rauf ab, ein umfassendes Verständnis über die Situation junger Menschen mit Krebs zu gewinnen. Hierzu zählen medizinische, psychologische und soziale Aspekte. Es wird untersucht, wie sich Krebs auf das tägliche Leben, die Beziehungen, die berufliche Entwicklung und die psychische Gesundheit der Betroffenen auswirkt. Besonderes Augenmerk liegt auf den persönlichen Erfahrungen und Perspektiven der Betroffenen, die in Interviews hinterfragt werden.
Die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse bilden die Grundlage für die Empfehlungen, die darauf abzielen, die Lebensqualität der betroffenen jungen Erwachsenen während und nach der Krebserkrankung zu verbessern. Dabei wird ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die Entwicklung praktischer und leicht zugänglicher Unterstützungsangebote gelegt, die den spezifischen Bedürfnissen dieser Altersgruppe gerecht werden.

Titel: Einflussnahme von Schweiß auf die Messgenauigkeit von Pulsmessungen mit Aktivitätstrackern

Abstract
Im digitalen Zeitalter haben sich Wearables, die verschiedene Vitalparameter erfassen, fest in unserem Alltag etabliert. Diese Arbeit verbindet unterschiedliche Fachbereiche, um zu erforschen, inwiefern Schweiß die Genauigkeit der Aktivitätstrackern bei der Pulsmessung beeinflussen.
Unter Laborbedingungen und in Ruhe wurden drei verschiedene Geräte: die Polar Pacer Pro, Apple Watch Series 8 und Winisok mit und ohne Schweißsimulanz, miteinander verglichen. Insgesamt sechs Proband*innen, darunter vier Männer und zwei Frauen, nahmen an dieser Studie teil. Die Datenanalyse umfasst verschiedene Methoden wie Korrelations- und Multivarianzanalyse, mit welchen eine klare Dateneingrenzung zur Aussage mit möglichst wenigen Störeinflüssen gewählt wurden.
Die Analyse hat ergeben, dass, obwohl Schweiß einen messbaren Einfluss auf die Genauigkeit der Pulsmessung hat, dieser Einfluss gering ist. Geräte aus höheren Segmenten, insbesondere die Polar Pacer Pro und die Apple Watch Series 8, zeigten eine geringere Streuung der Messergebnisse im Vergleich zur Winisok.
Die Resultate deuten darauf hin, dass der Einfluss von Schweiß auf die Pulsmessung zwar vorhanden, aber minimal ist. Die Geräte der höheren Segmente wiesen geringere Streuungen auf. Die beschränkte Anzahl an Proband*innen und die Laborumgebung könnten jedoch die Generalisierbarkeit der Ergebnisse beeinträchtigen. Weiterführende Studien mit einer größeren Stichprobe und unter realen Bedingungen sind daher zu empfehlen.

Abstract
Der Einsatz von digitalen Lösungen in der Medikamentenapplikation und der Rezeptverwaltung im stationären Pflegeheim ist das Thema der vorliegenden Bachelorarbeit. Das Ziel war zu untersuchen, wie der Prozess vom Bedarf über die Verschreibung und Beschaffung bis hin zur Verabreichung im Pflegeheim durch den Einsatz neuer Technologien verbessert werden kann.
Um den aktuellen Istzustand der stationären Pflege zu untersuchen, wurden drei Pflegeheime besucht. Darüber hinaus wurden Experteninterviews mit Personen durchgeführt, die an den Prozessen beteiligt sind, die zur Beantwortung der Forschungsfrage beigetragen haben. Die Aussagen der Befragten wurden mittels einer Qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse ausgewertet. Die Auswertung hat gezeigt, dass die Pflegeheime nicht flächendeckend digital ausgestattet sind. So ist beispielsweise das Fax nach wie vor ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Datenaustausches. Für die Pflegeheime bedeutet der Einsatz des E-Rezepts keine wesentliche Änderung gegenüber dem Papierrezept, da dieses auch per Fax übermittelt wird. Im Falle einer Änderung der rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen, bestünde die Möglichkeit das Versenden von E-Rezepten effizienter zu gestalten.
Der zweite Teil der Untersuchung ergab, dass digitale Lösungen insbesondere die Erreichbarkeit von Ärzten, den gesamten Datenaustausch und die Arzneimitteltherapiesicherheit optimieren. Darüber hinaus wurden weitere Lösungsansätze genannt, die zur Optimierung der Prozesse beitragen können, für die aber noch weiterer Forschungsbedarf besteht.

Abstract
Digitalization and new technologies are an important driver in the optical industry. More
and more opticians transform their practices by adapting omnichannel solutions with vir-
tual try-on technologies to provide customers with state-of-the art solutions and to en-
hance their business. However, not all technologies are immediately accepted by all users
and many opticians find themselves caught between the classic approach and the future
“digital world”. Against this backdrop, this bachelor thesis provides an overview of virtual
try-on technologies for the optical industry and investigates the user acceptance of both
opticians and consumers for such technologies by answering the following research ques-
tion: What is the user acceptance for virtual try-on applications in the optical in-
dustry?
This requires the following partial questions: What are current virtual try-on technologies
in ophthalmic optometry? What virtual try-on technologies can be expected in the short
and medium term? Which customer groups can be distinguished? How is the user accep-
tance of virtual try-ons and the different technologies among consumers and opticians?
To answer these questions, comprehensive literature research and desk research have
been realised. Secondly, 30 expert interviews with opticians and 60 consumer question-
naires have been conducted and analyzed. The key findings of this work are comprehen-
sive overviews on the advantages and disadvantages of virtual try-on technologies from
the perspectives of opticians and consumers, an assessment of the user acceptance of
these groups, as well as perspectives and recommendations for the future use of virtual
try-on technologies in the optical industry.

Abstract
Demographic change and the ongoing shortage of skilled labour pose immense chal-
lenges for inpatient care for the elderly. In particular, the growing discrepancy between
the demand for care services and the availability of skilled staff requires new approa-
ches to increase the attractiveness of the care profession. Working conditions in the
care sector are seen as a key factor in the brain drain. The aim of this bachelor thesis is
therefore to identify innovative working time models and analyse their potential and
challenges in order to make the nursing profession more attractive in the long term and
counteract the shortage of skilled workers.
Based on the problem definition, the following research questions are formulated:
(1) Which innovative working time models are suitable for inpatient geriatric care?
(2) What opportunities and challenges are linked to these models?
In order to answer these questions, a systematic analysis of various models is carried
out. The four-day week, the 7/7 model and job sharing are then analysed in depth in
qualitative interviews with managers of inpatient care facilities.
The results show that innovative working time models have the potential to modernise
the nursing profession, promote work-life balance and increase employee satisfaction.
The 7/7 model in particular stands out, as it offers opportunities through longer
recovery phases, clear structures and fewer shift changes. Nevertheless, the implemen-
tation of these models remains challenging, as they require extensive organisational
adjustments, close coordination with collective bargaining and legal requirements and
a willingness to change on the part of employees and managers. Especially smaller fa-
cilities with limited staff resources in particular facing the difficulty of organising the
duty roster flexibly and in line with demand without jeopardising the security of care.
Further research and sound evaluation in practice are therefore important.

Abstract
Background
Despite the high number of people completing first aid courses, which are mandatory for
driving licenses, the actual level of knowledge of the population in Germany remains low.
This finding forms the basis for the bachelor thesis Learning concepts in first aid training:
comparison and design of a curriculum. The focus is on analyzing the effectiveness of
existing learning concepts and developing an optimized curriculum that takes individual
learning differences into account and better prepares participants for emergency
situations. The work explores how modern technologies and innovative teaching methods
can be integrated to improve the long-term retention of life-saving skills and increase
preparedness in emergencies.
Importance & Objectives
The research questions of this thesis focus on the evaluation and further development of
first aid training. They include the investigation of existing learning concepts, the
assessment of their effectiveness based on research results, the exploration of digital
support options and the integration of digital media and technologies.
Methods
A systematic literature review was conducted based on key words and their combinations
to identify relevant studies and publications. The research followed a clearly defined
process of inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure the literature was up to date and
relevant. The analysis aimed to evaluate existing learning concepts and develop an
optimized curriculum that takes into account individual learning differences and
effectively integrates digital media.
Findings
Regular refresher training and the use of innovative learning methods significantly
increase the effectiveness of first aid training. Adapting the curriculum to specific target
groups and integrating digital media help to improve training outcomes. A curriculum that
is tailored to the needs of different age groups promotes long-term knowledge retention
and strengthens the ability to act in emergency situations.
Conclusions & Relevance
Research shows that regular refresher training and the use of technology significantly
improve the effectiveness of first aid training. A target group-specific curriculum that
combines practical exercises with technology-supported learning approaches promotes
self-confidence and competence. Continuous development and adaptation to new
pedagogical and technological findings is crucial for the success of the training.

Abstract
Background
A high level of patient adherence is particularly important, but can be difficult to maintain
due to various factors in the therapy. The ‘SMArtMed’ research project is addressing this is-
sue with an intelligent medication patch. The so-called SMArtMed patch is designed to dose
the medication through the skin in a personalised and automated manner. This bachelor's
thesis aims to identify the best potential use case for the SMArtMed patch.
Importance & Objectives
The central research questions are:
• Which criteria are relevant for the use of an intelligent medication patch?
• Which use case fulfils these criteria?
Methods
A qualitative methodology was selected to answer the research questions. It comprises a sys-
tematic literature search and two expert interviews. The analysis is divided into four selec-
tion stages with corresponding criteria and highlights, for example, the applicability, phar-
macokinetics and economic factors of the diseases and forms of administration. The expert
interviews served to validate the literature research for the particular disease. This resulted
in the final use case ranking and the potentially best use case for the SMArtMed patch.
Findings
Diabetes mellitus is potentially the best use case for the SMArtMed patch. The use case has a
high prevalence, a need for a change in therapy and a well-suited active ingredient for trans-
dermal administration. Insulin-Aspart U500 is the drug of choice for diabetes patients, which
lasts approximately 14 days in the 3 ml reservoir of the patch, depending on the patient.
Chronic pain is potentially the second most suitable use case.
Conclusions & Relevance
The potentially best use case, diabetes mellitus, provides a pioneering basis for the further
development of the SMArtMed patch. Future research should focus on technical feasibility, in
particular the development of suitable sensor systems. In addition, extensive efficacy and
safety studies are required to validate the practical applicability and acceptance of the patch
both in everyday clinical practice and among patients.

Abstract
Background:
The ‘SMArtMed’ research project aims to develop an innovative intelligent medication
patch using a microneedle array. This should enable the precise and controlled admin-
istration of medication. In view of the increasing complexity of medication regimes and
the associated challenges in treatment adherence, this concept promises to improve
patient care.
Significance and objectives:
This bachelor thesis aims to investigate the medical framework for a hollow micronee-
dle array and to recommend a suitable skin model for testing. Key aspects include op-
timal needle length, penetration depth, delivery pressure, placement of the patch and
maximum application time.
Methodology:
An extensive systematic literature search in relevant scientific databases was chosen
as the method for the bachelor thesis. Current studies on microneedle arrays, skin
physiology, transdermal drug delivery and skin models were analysed and critically
evaluated.
Results:
The results show that intradermal injection at a depth of 0.5 - 0.7 mm has favourable
pharmacokinetic properties. The optimal administration pressure is between 69-200
kPa. The triceps was identified as a suitable placement. The needle geometry and array
structure significantly influence efficacy and pain perception and should be strongly
considered in the development of the patch. The use of pig skin as a skin model is rec-
ommended.
Conclusions and relevance:
The results of this work should make a significant contribution to the further develop-
ment of the SMArtMed patch. By optimising the medical parameters, the efficiency and
safety of drug administration can be improved. In the long term, this could lead to im-
proved treatment adherence and patient care with complex medication regimes. The
knowledge gained forms an important basis for the further development and clinical
testing of the SMArtMed patch. Future research could focus on the practical implemen-
tation of the recommended parameters and the realisation of efficacy and safety stud-
ies

Abstract
Background
Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest remains one of the leading causes of death in
Germany, while the rate of layperson resuscitation remains comparatively low.
Increasing public willingness and competence to perform cardiopulmonary
resuscitation (CPR) is therefore a key goal of health education. Virtual Reality (VR)
technologies and gamification elements may offer a new, motivating approach to
first aid training.
Importance & Objectives
This thesis investigates how audiovisual and game design elements in a VR-based
resuscitation simulator affect learning motivation and perceived learning
outcomes. The study aims to identify which gamification components most
effectively enhance engagement and to assess the potential of VR for sustainable
first aid education.
Methods
A qualitative user study with 19 participants was conducted using the self-
developed VR application ErsteHilfeSimulatorVR. Participants completed a 30-
minute VR-based CPR training session followed by a structured questionnaire
evaluating immersion, motivation, learning experience, and usability. Responses
were analyzed descriptively.
Findings
The majority of participants reported increased interest and motivation for first
aid training after the VR experience. Over 75% preferred VR-based training to
conventional instruction, citing immersion and interactive feedback as key
motivators. Gamification elements such as point systems and visual rhythm
feedback were perceived as highly engaging. However, technical issues and the
lack of realistic haptic feedback were noted as limitations.
Conclusions & Relevance
VR-based training can significantly enhance learner motivation and engagement
in first aid education, particularly among younger audiences. While VR cannot fully
replace hands-on training with physical mannequins, a hybrid approach
combining both methods appears most effective. Future research should evaluate
long-term learning retention and larger participant samples. VR-supported CPR
education holds substantial potential to improve the dissemination of life-saving
skills and contribute to higher lay resuscitation rates in Germany.

overweight or obesity, contributing significantly to healthcare costs. Despite the availabi-
lity of traditional therapies, the long-term effectiveness of obesity treatment remains a
challenge. The rise of digital health applications (DiGAs) offers new possibilities, but their
integration into evidence-based treatment protocols and their sustained effectiveness are
still under evaluation
Importance & Objectives
This thesis investigates how evidence-based best-practice methods in obesity therapy are
implemented in digital health applications and evaluates their effectiveness. It compares
traditional therapies with digital interventions to identify potential benefits, challenges,
and risks. The goal is to develop practical recommendations and highlight research gaps
in the field
Methods
A systematic literature review was conducted using databases such as Google Scholar and
PubMed. Keywords included "best practices in obesity treatment," "evidence-based o-
besity therapy," and "Obesity therapy guidelines." The research focused on systematic re-
views and meta-analyses, with the S3-guideline on obesity prevention and therapy (2024)
serving as a reference point. Studies focusing on behavioural, nutritional, and exercise
therapies were included, while non-evidence-based and pediatric studies were excluded

The analysis revealed that digital health applications, such as DiGA and mobile health
apps, show promising results in supporting weight loss. Apps like Zanadio and Oviva de-
monstrated short-term weight reduction, but their long-term effectiveness remains

Background
The digital transformation of hospitals is changing clinical workflows and
administrative processes. However, the lack of a central overview of the software
systems relevant to clinical care poses challenges for hospitals and consulting
companies. The aim of this article is to systematically categorize these systems and
their impact on patient care and hospital management.
Importance & Objectives
The primary research questions explored in this study focus on the current state of
digital transformation in German hospitals, the types of software systems currently in
use, emerging trends and technologies that hold promise for the future, challenges
associated with their implementation, and recommended actions for key stakeholders
to effectively manage this complexity.
Methods
To achieve these goals, a comprehensive and methodical literature review was
conducted. This included analyzing data from leading healthcare technology trade fairs
such as DMEA and Medica, which provided insights into market trends and innovative
solutions. In addition, the established DIN 13080 standard for structured and
systematic classification of hospital systems was used to ensure relevance and rigor in
the categorization process.
Findings
The study identified a number of key software systems, including hospital information
systems (HIS), radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and
communication systems (PACS). These technologies were found to facilitate
interoperability between different healthcare departments, streamline workflows and
improve the overall quality of patient care. In addition, future trends point to the
increasing integration of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tools, improved patient-
centric digital solutions and enhanced data management practices, which together aim
to create a more connected and efficient healthcare ecosystem.
Conclusions & Relevance
This work highlights the urgent and critical need for systematic digital integration in
hospitals and emphasizes its role in eliminating operational inefficiencies, alleviating
the ongoing healthcare workforce shortage and significantly improving patient
outcomes. By identifying gaps and opportunities in the current digital landscape, this
study offers valuable insights for hospitals and consulting firms. The findings make the
case for targeted and strategic investment in digital infrastructure as the key to
sustainable, innovative, and patient-centered healthcare systems.

Abstract
Organ donation remains a compelling and highly relevant topic in Germany. Despite
various strategies being implemented, the number of donors remains low and is unable
to meet the demand for organs. This bachelor’s thesis explores the importance of organ
donation and potential alternatives involving artificial organs.
Two research questions related to organ donation and artificial organs are examined in
depth. The study combines a qualitative analysis with a quantitative online survey of
university students. Scientific articles addressing both organ donation willingness and
artificial organ development were analyzed. Additionally, statistics on willingness to
donate organs were evaluated to better understand societal influencing factors. To assess
the current state of developments in the field of artificial organs, additional information
from companies and research institutions was examined.
The results demonstrate that ethical concerns, a lack of public education and a general
mistrust of healthcare system are significant barriers to organ donation. The findings also
demonstrate that artificial organs have significant potential to reduce demand for donor
organs. However, substantial technical and societal challenges remain. The study
concludes that a comprehensive approach linking technological progress, public
education and legal adaptation is necessary. Only by doing so can the challenges
surrounding organ donation be addressed in the long term, encouraging the population
to embrace new therapies.

Background
Language barriers represent a significant obstacle to knowledge exchange in interna-
tional higher education. The increasing internationalization of universities calls for ef-
fective tools that facilitate inclusive and accessible teaching and learning environ-
ments. Digital simultaneous translation systems are among the emerging technologies
that promise to address these challenges.
Importance & Objectives
This bachelor thesis aimed to examine the practical applicability of digital simultane-
ous translation tools in university teaching, with the objective of evaluating their con-
tribution to intercultural communication and internationalization. The central re-
search question focused on how such technologies can be selected and implemented,
to effectively support higher education.
Methods
A practical test was conducted using the simultaneous translation feature of Zoom dur-
ing regular lectures. Following this, an empirical survey was carried out with partici-
pating students to assess their perceptions of translation quality. Key evaluation crite-
ria included accuracy, latency, and user-friendliness.
Findings
The result shows strong potential for international higher education, especially in lec-
tures where students cannot follow the teaching language. It provides significant added
value by improving access to content and supporting participation, offering a solid ba-
sis of understanding for everyday and general lecture content. However, substantial
limitations remain in translating discipline-specific and technical terminology. Impre-
cise word usage and semantic inconsistencies can lead to misunderstandings.
Conclusion & Relevance
The study concludes that while current simultaneous translation systems can offer val-
uable support for international students, further pilot studies across disciplines and
language combinations are recommended, alongside the exploration of advanced
speech-to-speech translation technologies. Continuous development and integration of
these tools are essential to promote inclusive, accessible, and barrier-free higher edu-
cation in the long term.

The aim of the scientific work is to gain insight into the possible course of the future
digitization of the healthcare system and to examine existing opportunities and risks
in the field of digitization. Based on the mandatory introduction of the e-prescription
on January 1, 2024, predictions for future innovations and developments are to be de-
rived. In particular, reference will be made to the stakeholders and their opportunities
and risks of possible technologies.
Importance & Objectives
The research questions on which the work is based are as follows:
• To what extent will the mandatory introduction of e-prescriptions from 1 Janu-
ary 2024 affect the future development of digitalization in the German
healthcare system?
• What opportunities and risks arise from the introduction of the e-prescription
for different stakeholders?
Methods
In order to answer the research question, a quantitative content analysis was carried
out on the mandatory introduction of the e-prescription. This involved analyzing 115
articles from various journals. This was based on criteria such as technical implemen-
tation, acceptance or the benefits for the various stakeholders.
Findings
The introduction of the e-prescription will pave the way for future digital innovations.
Greater acceptance and many optimizations in the telematics infrastructure should
avoid any hurdles that arise when implementing future technologies. New technologies
will also be supported by changes in legislation and greater political will.
Conclusions & Relevance
The quantitative content analysis clearly showed that Germany has problems with the
stability of the telematics infrastructure and other technical components. Acceptance
of the e-prescription is high. However, the benefits were hardly noticeable, particularly
at the beginning of its introduction, due to numerous technical faults. In the meantime,
the e-prescription has established itself and will be further expanded in the future.

Background: When planning and building a simulation centre, there is often uncer-

fulfill the specific training purposes. It is therefore essential to develop a sound under-
standing of how these specific requirements can be defined in order to ensure optimal
suitability for the respective training purposes.
Importance & Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to clarify the following main re-
search question: What requirements must existing simulation systems for simulation
centres meet in order to be effective in the education and training of medical profes-
sionals?

1. Which simulation systems currently exist on the German and international market
and what functions do they have?
2. What specific requirements do medical experts impose on simulation systems in or-
der for them to be optimally suited for training and further education purposes?
3. Which criteria are relevant for the evaluation of simulation systems with regard to
education and training?
Methods: In order to analyse the requirements for simulation systems in medical ed-
ucation and training, qualitative research was conducted using the Delphi method. The
results obtained were collected through standardised surveys using an ordinal-scaled
matrix.
Findings: The study shows that the simulation systems available on the market for
medical education and training cover a wide range of functions that have been defined
as requirements by experts. Of the 212 functions analysed, 149 functions in low and
medium fidelity and 195 functions in high fidelity were assessed as required by experts
in a defined scenario. More functions are required in high fidelity simulations than in
low and medium fidelity simulations. Simulation systems should have and be able to
cover different requirements depending on the scenario and degree of realism.
Conclusions & Relevance: The results emphasise the need to adapt simulation sys-
tems flexibly to training objectives and levels of reality. Future research should inte-
grate new technologies such as AI and VR. Further studies on other scenarios are
needed to investigate the specific requirements in other contexts.

Abstract:
This bachelor thesis examines the development of a voice-controlled application for
documentation in resuscitation scenarios. The primary objective was to create a solution that
assists medical personnel in recording crucial information quickly and accurately under
extreme conditions. The development process involved various challenges, particularly in
selecting the appropriate programming language and framework. While Python facilitated
rapid prototyping, its limitations for mobile application development became evident.
Alternative solutions such as Kotlin for Android or Swift for iOS would offer better
integration with native system functions.
Another key challenge was implementing speech recognition. The reliance on the Google
Speech Recognition API proved problematic due to its need for a stable internet connection.
Offline alternatives like OpenAI's Whisper or Vosk could enhance reliability but require
additional optimization. Furthermore, designing a user-friendly interface was critical, with
frameworks like Kivy or Flutter being more suitable for cross-platform mobile applications.
After the application's release, further challenges may arise, including monetization,
maintenance, and compatibility with different mobile devices. Ethical considerations also
play a role in monetizing a medical product, especially concerning data privacy and
accessibility. Additionally, regular updates will be necessary to ensure compatibility with
evolving operating systems and to address potential security issues.
In conclusion, this thesis presents a prototype that lays the foundation for further
development. However, refining the app with advanced programming languages and
optimizing its speech recognition and user interface could significantly improve its usability
and reliability. Future work should also consider the legal and economic aspects to ensure
long-term sustainability and compliance with medical regulations if needed.
