• A keen interest in Information Science & Process Design - you should enjoy the topics of technology and computer science and be interested in how computer systems work.
• Affinity for Business Administration - you should have an interest in commercial, economical, profitable, financial, cost-effective and management processes.
• An interest in practical work and innovative scientific questions - projects, practical semesters in a school, practical semester and practical collaborations are an important part of the curriculum.
• Communication and teamwork skills - you will often work in groups and have to present your own ideas.
• Analytical thinking - you develop strategies; you have to analyze complex problems and find technical solutions or make decisions.

You will work at the interface between IT and business in an operation or in a consulting firm.

You can also further advance your knowledge - e.g. in masters/master's programmes such as Business Information Systems (consecutive), Business Information Systems (part-time) , Data Science and Business Analytics (part-time) or Cyber Security (part-time).

To be admitted, you need the following formal prerequisites(s):

• University entrance qualification: General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification or university of applied sciences entrance qualification.
• NC-free - there is no minimum grade of admission (NC) (i.e. none)

Application deadlines: You can apply for the winter semester, typically via the institution of higher education website. The deadline is 15.07. (winter semester).

Yes, a semester abroad is possible and is expressly supported by the institution of higher education. In semester 6, you have the opportunity to spend half a year at an institution of higher education abroad. The modules taken there do not have to correspond one-to-one with the contents of the schedule of modules; it is sufficient if they fit in with the broad discipline of Business Information Systems. There are basically two options for studying abroad:

1. at a partner university of Aalen University of Applied Sciences,
3. at a freely electedinstitution of higher education abroad.

The starting point for studying abroad is always an advisor from the International Center.

The practical semester in a school, practical semester abroad can also be carried out at a company abroad.
