Invitation to a guest lecture on ergonomics and gender awareness in design

Women are often exposed to a higher risk of health problems, as many industries use men as the "gold standard". In his talk; lecture, Eran Franco will shed light on how ergonomic principles in design can help to promote women's health and offer them equal opportunities in various fields (of).

As part of the Go-Out Week, organized by the International Center, lecturers from partner institutions of Aalen University of Applied Sciences came to give guest lectures and present their institutions.

This guest lecture was organized by the Technical Design Specialisations as part of a complete workshop week for the Ergonomics+UX lecture.

About the lecturer
The lecturer Eran Franco is a physiotherapist and expert in ergonomics and accessibility. He is deputy, assistant, vice director of the physiotherapy department of a hospital and holds a masters in industrial design. As a lecturer at our partner institution the Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College, Tel Aviv University and the Holon Institute of Technology, he combines design and human functions.

Partnership between Technical Design and the Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College
The Technical Design Specializations maintains a valuable partnership with the Design Department of the Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College. This collaboration, which is funded as part of an externally-funded project with scholarships from the Erasmus+ KA171 program, enables a lively exchange of students and teaching staff. Since the winter semester 2024/25, several Israeli students have been continuously studying in the field (of) Technical Design. As soon as the political situation calms down, Technical Design would also like to send its students to Israel to further promote intercultural exchange.
