Health & exercise for staff

The Healthy University initiative aims to maintain and promote the long-term health and work ability of staff. To this end, measures are offered to create healthy working conditions. At the same time, a range of services is available to help staff actively strengthen their own health.

If you have any questions, suggestions, or feedback, the Healthy University team within the Human Resources Department, will be happy to help.

Sports programs for staff

Yoga

Yoga means "to connect". Through conscious movement and awareness of breathing, yoga helps you to calm down and strengthen your connection to your own body. Regular practice can alleviate physical complaints and inner restlessness. Taster sessions are possible at any time. Beginners are welcome and can join at any time. Running club

Would you like to go jogging regularly in a friendly group? Then you are welcome to join our running group. If you are interested, please contact Sabine Gold (IT).

RV Fit

RV Fit is a free training program for working people on the topics of exercise, nutrition and stress management. The aim is to achieve a holistically improved attitude to life. The program was developed by doctors and is also aimed at people without a pronounced clinical picture in order to strengthen their health at an early stage. In the program, you learn joint-friendly exercise and muscle strengthening, cook healthy and quick meals together and practice stress management techniques.

Volleyball

We are a recreational team that is all about having fun and we are always happy to see new faces - whether young or old, beginners or experienced. All staff at the institution of higher education are welcome to join our volleyball team. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact the Healthy University team or Günter Dittmar.

Healthy Companies Network - Aalen Region

The network promotes health-oriented company structures in the region. Companies receive support in anchoring healthy working in everyday life, strengthening staff and implementing joint health initiatives.

Aalener Sportallianz

Aalen Sports Alliance

In cooperation with the Aalen Sports Alliance, a wide range of health promotion programs for companies and individuals is offered. Employees and companies benefit from exercise, prevention, and sports programs that are easy to integrate into everyday working life.

Health discovery tour

The Health Discovery Tour brings together regional activities relating to exercise, nutrition and well-being. It invites companies and citizens to get to know and actively try out various health offers.

Care guides

Demographic change in the world of work is often underestimated: in future, more and more employees will also be responsible for caring for a relative.In the event of an emergency, we would like to support you as a university and offer a point of contact. In cooperation with the Equal Opportunities team. In cooperation with the Equal Opportunities team, care guides have been trained for this purpose.

  • are specially trained contact persons within the university.
  • act as a contact person for questions about balancing work and caregiving
  • are the first point of contact for employees with caregiving responsibilities and provide guidance.

However, care guides do not provide professional or long-term counseling.

Addiction counseling

Aalen University of Applied Sciences offers students and employment confidential support for all questions relating to addiction and risky consumption. This includes

  • Contact persons at the university for initial discussions, advice and guidance
  • Information on alcohol, drug, medication and behavioral addictions
  • Support for relatives and assistance with problems in everyday working or student life 
  • Coordination and referral to external counseling centers and professional therapy services
  • Prevention services for funding a healthy and responsible approach to stress

The aim is to provide early support, identify ways out of stressful situations and facilitate access to professional help - confidential, low-threshold and free of charge.
