The start-up campus at Aalen University of Applied Sciences supports you in thinking about research from an entrepreneurial perspective, recognizing transfer and start-up potential and taking the first steps towards implementation.

Get to know entrepreneurial perspectives and current methods from innovation and entrepreneurship in workshops, network with other people interested in innovation and start-ups from our network and gain access to funding programs, advisor and suitable space infrastructure for your transfer project.

As part of the“CZS Innovation Teams”program, startup teams from the academic community can apply year-round for funding to transfer their research findings.

Through this call for proposals for startup teams from the academic community, the Carl Zeiss Foundation supports the transfer of scientific research results. Funding is provided for personnel costs for potential founders as well as for expenses related to measures that specifically advance the transfer to commercial use. The goal is to develop the technological and economic feasibility to the point where market-oriented follow-on financing by third parties becomes possible.

• Grant Amount: Up to €600,000
• Q&A Session: August 12, 2026, 2:00–3:00 p.m. & September 28, 2026, 3:00–4:00 p.m.
• Application period: Starting September 15, 2026
• Application deadlines: The last business day of February, June, and October
