She is involved in appointment processes, ensures fair and non-discriminatory selection processes and initiates targeted measures for the funding of women, in particular through scholarships, project funding and junior researcher programs.

Gender equality work promotes gender-equitable teaching methods and sensitizes lecturers to diversity topics. At the same time, women are supported in their academic careers through mentoring, coaching and qualification programs.

The institution of higher education is developing family-friendly structures to make Studies and work more compatible with care and support responsibilities. This includes flexible working models and a child-friendly university culture.

The Equal Opportunities Commissioner for academic staff and students gives advice to students and employment on all topics relevant to equal opportunities and is the point of contact in cases of discrimination. At state and federal level, she represents the institution of higher education in specialist committees and is involved in inter-university [Adjektiv] equality policy.
