Health & exercise for staff

The Healthy Institution of Higher Education aims to maintain and promote the health and work ability of staff in the long term. To this end, measures are offered to create healthy working conditions. At the same time, offers are available that staff can use to actively strengthen their own health.

If you have any questions, suggestions or feedback, the Healthy Aalen University of Applied Sciences team under the Management of the Human Resources Department will be happy to help.

Sports programs for staff

Yoga

Yoga means "to connect". Through conscious movement and breathing awareness, yoga helps you to calm down and strengthen your connection to your own body. Regular practice; practical experience can alleviate physical complaints and inner restlessness. Taster sessions are possible at any time. Beginners are welcome and can join on an ongoing basis. Appointments, dates can be found in the schedule. If you are interested, please send an email to Gesunde Hochschule.

Running club

Would you like to jog regularly in a friendly group? Then you are welcome to join our running group. Appointment, date: from now on every Tuesday Time: 17:00 (approx. 60min) Meeting point: Cafeteria am Burren If you are interested, please contact Sabine Gold (IT).

RV Fit

RV Fit is a free training program for working people on the topics of exercise, nutrition and stress management. The aim is to achieve a holistically improved attitude to life. The program was developed by doctors and is also aimed at people without a pronounced clinical picture in order to strengthen their health at an early stage. In the program, you learn joint-friendly exercise and muscle strengthening, cook healthy and quick meals together and practice stress management techniques.

Volleyball - by staff for staff

We are a recreational team that is all about having fun and we are always happy to see new faces - whether young or old, beginners or experienced. All staff at the institution of higher education are welcome to join our volleyball team. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact the Healthy University team or Günter Dittmar. Appointment date: every Friday (except during the vacations) | Time: 15:00-17:00 | Location: sports hall of the Aalen University of Applied Sciences, Steinbeisstsr. 10 (sports hall 3)

Occupational health service

The occupational health service at Aalen University of Applied Sciences supports staff with questions relating to health and work. The service includes preventative occupational health measures, individual advisors, vaccinations and investigations/analyses such as eye tests for VDU workstations. The aim is to identify work-related stress at an early stage and promote health at the work station. Appointments, dates can be arranged via the Gesunde Aalen University of Applied Scien ces.

The occupational health service at Aalen University of Applied Sciences is provided by Dr. Gesa Wunder, who is a specialist in general medicine with additional qualifications in occupational medicine, naturopathy, travel medicine, chiropractic therapy and sports medicine.

Ergonomics at the work station

Working at a PC for long periods can lead to complaints such as headaches, back tension or burning eyes. Aalen University of Applied Sciences' Health Care Management supports staff in setting up their work station ergonomically and preventing health problems.

Trained Ergoscouts are available to help with adjusting the office workstation. In addition, the digital ergonomics coach ISA (Intelligent Seating Assistant) can be used for six weeks to improve sitting behavior and promote ergonomic working.

Company integration management

Aalen University of Applied Sciences supports staff who have been off sick for a longer time period with the Company Integration Management (BEM) program. The aim is to facilitate the return to work, promote health and secure the work station in the long term. The service is primarily aimed at employment who have been unable to work for more than six weeks in total within the last 12 months, but is voluntary. In confidential discussions, we work together to clarify which support and adjustment measures make sense to facilitate your return to work station and prevent you from being unable to work again.

Healthy Companies Network - Aalen Region

The network promotes health-oriented company structures in the region. Companies receive support in anchoring healthy working in everyday life, strengthening staff and implementing joint health initiatives.

Aalen Sports Alliance

In cooperation, cooperative venture, partnership, collaboration, and support, Aalener Sportallianz offers a wide range of company and individual health promotion programs. Companies and employment benefit from exercise, prevention and sports programs that are easy to integrate into everyday working life.

Health discovery tour

The Health Discovery Tour brings together regional activities relating to exercise, nutrition and well-being. It invites companies and citizens to get to know and actively try out various health offers.

Demographic change in the world of work is often underestimated: in future, more and more employees will also be responsible for caring for a relative. In the event of an emergency, we would like to support you as an institution of higher education and offer a point of contact. In collaboration, cooperation with the Equal Opportunities team, care guides have been trained for this purpose.
