Ostalb Hackathon 2026

4 days, 2 challenges, 0 time for bullshit! The Ostalb Hackathon is a 4-day innovation event where around 40–50 students from different countries and disciplines work together with experienced mentors in 2026 to develop unconventional and creative solutions!

After 3 years, the Ostalb Hackathon is celebrating its comeback – and is international for the first time 🎉

What to expect

Four days full of ideas, teamwork, and action: You will work on real challenges, develop solutions, and take your ideas all the way to the final pitch – supported by workshops, feedback, and exchange

Our challenge providers – from the region, for the region

Two regional challenge providers bring real questions and give insights into current challenges from their daily work. Together with the student teams, practical solutions are developed that open new perspectives and are directly based on real needs

Who is behind the event

A team from the university, a student initiative, and partners make sure that the Ostalb Hackathon finally takes place again. Why do we do this? To bring students and companies closer together again and to bring new ideas into the region!

InnoConsult e.V.

A team from the student consulting organization InnoConsult e.V. makes sure everything runs smoothly on site – from setup and teardown to organization and coordination during the event
