International Business Administration

• Understanding and shaping economic contexts and international relations - you should have an interest in Business Administration, BA, Marketing, Finance and Strategic Management as well as cultural and global contexts.
• A desire for practical work and innovative scientific questions - projects, practical semesters in a school, practical semester and practical collaborations are an important part of the curriculum.
• Communication and teamwork skills & analytical thinking - you often work in groups and develop strategies.
• Affinity for languages - high interest in Foreign Languages (English & other foreign languages) and communication.

To be admitted, you need the following formal prerequisites(s):

• University entrance qualification: General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification or university of applied sciences entrance qualification.
• NC-free - there is no minimum grade of admission (NC)
• None pre-degree practical experience necessary

Application deadlines: You can apply for the summer and winter semester, typically via the university website. The deadlines are 15.07. (winter semester) and 15.01. (summer semester).

1. English:
   • English language skills, English proficiency at B2 level, proof by means of TOEIC (at least 785 points) or comparable internationally recognized test (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS) required.

   • You can submit proof of English language proficiency (e.g. TOEIC from 785 points or an equivalent test such as TOEFL/IELTS) by the end of the first semester. If you already have the proof, you can of course submit it directly. You can also take the test at Aalen University of Applied Sciences.

      

2. Second foreign business language:
   • For French, we generally require 3-5 years of schooling.
   • You do not necessarily need previous knowledge of Spanish: There is a preliminary course through which you can acquire the required, necessary basics (different levels apply depending on the placement).

After completing your Studies, you can start a career in many fields in internationally oriented companies - e.g. in Marketing/Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Management Accounting/Finance, Project Management or Business Development. Jobs at international organizations or in medium-sized companies with international business are also common career paths.

You can also further advance your knowledge - e.g. in masters/master's programmes such as Business Sustainability and Leadership, Marketing andManagement or Marketing and Artificial Intelligence.

Yes, you are required to complete a work placement abroad, internship abroad of at least 110 attendance days in a non-German-speaking country. This means you have the opportunity to gain valuable international experience and develop your appointment for professors; appointment funds. The IBW Internships Office and the International Center will support you in finding a suitable internship.
