• Technical interest - You consist of; have a strong interest in computer science (especially applied computer science programming and databases, databanks) as well as in the analysis and design of Information systems.
• Business understanding - You have an interest in operational business processes (process management and digitalization) and in the project management of IT projects.
• New technologies - Open-mindedness towards new technologies and trends as well as topics of digital transformation and agile methods.
• An appetite for practical work and innovative scientific questions - projects, practical semesters in a school, practical semester and practical collaborations are an important part of the curriculum.
• Analytical thinking - you are interested in helping to identify problems and develop solutions for complex business situations
• Communication and teamwork skills - you often work in interdisciplinary teams and are responsible for presenting complex data in an understandable form in reports or presenting analysis results in meetings.

To be admitted, you need the following formal prerequisites(s):

• A university degree qualifying to enter a profession (Bachelor's or Diplom) in a subject-related field, e.g. (Business) Computer Science, subject area Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering, Business Administration, BA or Engineering Management and previous university-equivalent knowledge in (Business) Computer Science) or related fields.
• Above-average degree (mark UK), grade (minimum 2.5)
• University degree with at least 210 European Credit Transfer System credits (European Credit Transfer System) or at least 180 European Credit Transfer System (30 European Credit Transfer System must be acquired during the Master's degree program)
• Very good German language skills
  

Application deadlines: You can only apply for the winter semester, typically via the university website. The deadline is June 15 (winter semester).

After graduating with a Master of Science in Business Information Systems, entry-level opportunities are possible in all fields (of) business - in companies or industrial or academic research organizations. Typical jobs include

• Management or leadership positions – e.g. as a management consultant or IT consultant
• Machine learning engineer
• Data engineer
• Business analyst
• Data scientist
• Business intelligence (BI) analyst
• IT project manager
• Software developer

Yes. During the course of study, the following must be selected:

1 Major field of study: Data Science (DS) or Business Analytics (BA)

3 compulsory elective subjects: modules from the compulsory elective range of the selected major subject must be taken.

Further information on the major subjects and options will be communicated at the start of the course.

Yes, a semester abroad is possible. It is advisable to complete this in the 2nd semester. The modules taken there do not have to correspond one-to-one with the contents in the schedule of modules; it is sufficient if they fit the broad discipline of Business Information Systems and correspond to the Master's level. There are basically two options for studying abroad:

1. At a partner university of the Field of Study :

   Studies at ESC Clermont Business School here you also have the opportunity to acquire a joint degree

2. At a partner university of Aalen University of Applied Sciences
3. At a freely electedinstitution of higher education abroad

The starting point for studying abroad is always an advisor from the International Representative and/or the International Center.
