Hello, I’m Lena Erbe. Since April 2026, I have been a professor of Inpatient Medicine in the Physician Assistant program at Aalen University of Applied Sciences. I am a board-certified specialist in gynecology and obstetrics and have been working at the Women’s Clinic of the Ostalb-Klinikum Aalen since 2016. There, I have worked on the gynecology ward—which includes a certified breast center—the postpartum ward, and in the delivery room. Today, I head the Gynecology Outpatient Clinic while also serving as a professor. I have been supporting the Physician Assistants in Aalen since the program’s inception—as a mentor, an adjunct instructor, and a member of the program advisory board.
My areas of focus are women’s health, medical ethics, and the training of new healthcare professionals. As a healthcare ethics consultant (AEM) and vice chair of the Clinical Ethics Committee, I know that good medicine is more than just accurate diagnosis and treatment. It also requires integrity, communication, and responsibility. In my teaching, I aim to prepare students to manage the day-to-day routine of inpatient care in a structured and confident manner as part of an interprofessional team. In addition, I am involved in professional policy work with the North Württemberg District Medical Association, the Aalen District Medical Association, the Marburger Bund, and the Youth Welfare Committee of the Ostalb District.
