The talk; lecture takes place as part of, within the framework of the general studies of the degree program at Aalen University of Applied Sciences and is part of the current semester topic "Disinformation, Fake News and Conspiracy Narratives", which is organized in collaboration, cooperation with the adult education center Aalen (VHS).
Moving images are powerful tools, even on the Internet. They can convince, substantiate and stir things up. But they can also mislead, emotionalize and stimulate. And they can be manipulated. A department about the power of images and the danger of fake news in times of artificial intelligence and the question: where does manipulation actually begin?
Christoph Ulmer is a television journalist, author and trainer at Südwestrundfunk (SWR). As head of the multimedia studio in Stuttgart, he is responsible for editorial contents and regularly works as a reporter and author for various SWR and ARD television formats. His journalistic work includes contributions to Information, HFU supplies shops and consumer programs.
In addition to his work in public broadcasting, Christoph Ulmer has been involved in teaching media skills and journalistic work for many years. As a speaker and trainer, he passes on his practical experience in departments and talks; lectures and provides insights into the working methods of modern items and the importance of reliable information and quality journalism.
