The share of hydropower in total electricity generation varies greatly from country to country. But in Germany, the contribution of hydropower is rather small - and yet of great importance!
The talk; lecture explores the following questions:
How do you actually generate electricity from hydropower?
What different types of power plants are there?
Where do they occur?
What functions does hydropower have in the overall portfolio of electricity generation?
And which functions are particularly important for the energy transition when the quantitative contribution is rather small?
You are cordially invited to join us on a journey through this exciting topic!
