On-Site Facilities and Services

Facilities for Learning

The library provides a range of facilities and equipment to make your time here more comfortable. These include desk lamps for the study booths, staplers, hole punches, a paper cutter, pens, and more. To help maintain a quiet environment, noise level indicators are installed on every floor of the library. An earplug vending machine is also available. Lockers are located on Level 0. Keys can be borrowed from the Service Point.

Eating and Drinking in the Library

Drinks in closed containers and small snacks are permitted in the library. A water dispenser is also available near the library entrance.

Multifunction Printer and Book Scanner

A multifunction printer is located on the ground floor near the library entrance. You can use it to make copies or print documents from a USB drive. You will need your student ID card to use the printer. External users should contact the Service Point. A book scanner is also available on the ground floor. Scanned pages can be saved to a USB drive in various file formats or sent directly to your smartphone using the Scan-to-Mobile function.

Self-Service Machines: Top Up, Pay and Validate

The library has several self-service machines that can be used to pay library fees or add credit to your university ID card. Student ID cards can also be validated. The machines are available during the library's opening hours.

Individual Study Spaces

First and Second Floors

Individual study spaces along the windows on the first and second floors and near the balconies have power outlets, desk lamps and comfortable chairs. For quieter study, earplugs are available from the vending machine. Group study areas are on the second and ground floors.

 

 

Individual Study Booths

Along the windows on the second floor

Soundproof individual study booths with power outlets are located along the windows on the second floor, providing a quiet space for focused study. For group work and conversation, use the group study room (BUS), also on the second floor.

Armchairs for Individual Study

First floor

Armchairs on the first floor provide a quiet space for individual study and are equipped with laptop tables. No reservation is required.

Group Study Spaces in the BUS Room

Second Floor, BUS Room

The BUS Room on the second floor has several group study tables for up to 8 people each. The room also provides power outlets, a flipchart and office supplies such as pens, staplers and hole punchers.

Group Study Spaces on the Ground Floor

Ground floor

There are two study booths on the ground floor of the library, each accommodating up to four people. Power outlets are available.

Computer Workstations on the Ground Floor

Ground Floor, near the Balcony

Three computer workstations are available near the balcony on the ground floor. University members can log in using their Campus IT credentials. External users can obtain a guest account from the Service Point, valid for the day of issue.

Outdoor Study Spaces

Balconies

Two of the library's three balconies have tables for studying outdoors during the warmer months. The ground-floor balcony also has sofas and armchairs. No reservation is required.
