The micro and precision manufacturing laboratory / lab focuses on the production of precision and micro parts using electrical discharge machining (EDM) and the high-speed cutting process (HSC). Compared to conventional cutting methods, the HSC process, procedure is characterized by a high working speed, high surface quality and a high cutting volume. Furthermore, three-dimensional contours are easy to produce. The EDM process, procedure has the advantage of more precise parts and higher surface qualities, but the disadvantage is a long processing time.
