• Desire for practical work and innovative questions – projects, practical semesters and practical collaborations are an important part of the curriculum.
• Communication and teamwork skills & analytical thinking – you will often work in groups and develop strategies.

• After graduating with a Bachelor's degree, you can work in all fields (of) healthcare management - whether in hospitals, health insurance providers, public institutions or highly-respected, well-known companies in the healthcare industry. Typical jobs include
  • Management or leadership positions - e.g. as a healthcare manager:in or team leader:in.
  • Project management or digital transformation - e.g. project manager in various industries.
  • Management accounting, finance or accounting - e.g. as a comptroller.
  • Human Resources and Organizational Management - Occupational Health Care Management (OHM).
  • Research in departments, institutes or research institutions
• You can also deepen your knowledge further - e.g. on the Master's degree programme in Health Care Management.

To be admitted, you need the following formal prerequisites(s):

• University entrance qualification: General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification or university of applied sciences entrance qualification.
• NC-free - there is no minimum grade of admission (NC)
• None pre-degree practical experience necessary
• Language skills: As the degree programme is offered in German, you need good German language skills (usually at level C1 or proof of examinations such as DSH or TestDaF if you come from abroad - this is stated in the admission information).

Application deadlines: You can only apply for the winter semester, typically via the institution of higher education website. The deadline is 15.07. (winter semester).

Yes, a semester abroad is possible and is expressly supported by the institution of higher education. It can be integrated into the Studies program without necessarily renewing the duration / length of studies. There are basically three options for studying abroad:

1. at a partner university of the Field of Study:

• Studies at the Vaal University of Technology, South Africa
• Studies at Pacific University Forest Grove, USA
• Studies at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway
• Studies at the South Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK), Finland

2. at a partner university of Aalen University of Applied Sciences,
3. at a freely electedinstitution of higher education abroad.

The starting point for studying abroad is always an advisor from the International Representative and/or the International Center.

The practical semester in a school, practical semester abroad can also be carried out at a company abroad.

Yes, as a Health Care Management student at Aalen University of Applied Sciences, you have the opportunity to continue your education as a "Qualified Professional in Occupational Health Management" and "Occupational Health Manager" if you meet certain prerequisites(s). To do this, you must complete two stages of training, each of which ends with an examination.

The Field of Study "Health Care Management" at Aalen University of Applied Sciences is certified by the Bundesverband Betriebliches Health Care Management (BBGM).
