• Economy | Management - topics such as finance, management accounting, marketing, IT and logistics.
• Project management and leadership - leading projects, organizing teams and coordinating interfaces
• Digitalization & technology - interest in modern, industrial technologies, automation and IT systems (such as ERP systems).
• Desire for practical work and innovative questions - projects, practical questions and practical cooperation are an important part of the curriculum.
• Communication and teamwork skills - you often work in groups and develop strategies, you are motivated to take responsibility for... and make decisions.

The following formal prerequisites(s) apply for admission:

• A university degree qualifying to enter a profession in Engineering Management, Business Information Systems, another engineering discipline, Business Administration, BA (technically oriented) or a related subject.
• Above-average degree (mark UK), grade (minimum 2.5)
• University degree with at least 210 European Credit Transfer System credits (European Credit Transfer System) or at least 180 European Credit Transfer System (30 European Credit Transfer System must be acquired during the Master's degree program)

Application deadlines: Apply for the winter and summer semester, typically via the university website. The deadlines are 15.06. (winter semester) and 15.12. (summer semester).

After graduating with a Master of Engineering degree, it is possible to start a career in the private sector as well as in the public service. Typical jobs include

• Management or leadership positions - e.g. as a junior manager:in or team leader:in.
• Project management or digital transformation - e.g. project manager in various industries.
• Management accounting, finance or accounting - e.g. as a comptroller or financial analyst.
• Production planning and control
• Quality management

Yes. The course of study can be chosen individually and freely according to personal and professional interests. However, the following elective modules (exams) must be passed during the course:

• Engineering: selection of 4 modules*
• Business Administration/Marketing: selection of 3 modules*
• Management: selection of 3 modules*
• Free elective modules: selection of 2 modules**

*The modules must be selected from the respective areas of the curriculum or the semester offerings of the degree programme, as well as a maximum of one module from the university's offerings, subject to approval by the chair of the examination board.

**Modules may be selected from all areas or from the master's programme offered by Aalen University after approval by the chair of the examination board.

Yes, a semester abroad is possible. It is advisable to complete this in the 2nd semester. The modules taken there do not have to correspond one-to-one to the contents in the schedule of modules, it is sufficient if they fit the broad discipline of Industrial Management and correspond to the Master's level. There are basically two options for studying abroad:

1. At a partner university of Aalen University of Applied Sciences
2. At a freely electedinstitution of higher education abroad.

The starting point for studying abroad is always an advisor from the International Representative and/or the International Center.
