• Understanding and shaping economic relationships - you should have an interest in business administration topics such as HR Management, Business Administration, BA, Marketing, Finance and Strategic Management.
• An interest in practical work and innovative scientific questions - projects, practical semesters in a school, practical semester and practical collaborations are an important part of the curriculum.
• Communication and team skills & analytical thinking - you often work in groups and develop strategies.
• Personal initiative and an interest in business start-up - the degree program supports entrepreneurial spirit and prepares you for this.

To be admitted, you need the following formal prerequisites(s):

• University entrance qualification: General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification or university of applied sciences entrance qualification.
• NC-free - there is no minimum grade of admission (NC)
• None pre-degree practical experience necessary
• Language skills: As the degree programme is offered in German, you need good German language skills (usually at level C1 or proof of examinations such as DSH or TestDaF if you come from abroad - this is stated in the admission information).

Application deadlines: You can apply for the summer and winter semester, typically via the institution of higher education website. The deadlines are 15.07. (winter semester) and 15.01. (summer semester).

After graduating with a Bachelor's degree, you can work in all fields (of) business - whether in SMEs or highly-respected, profitable, financial, cost-effective companies. Typical jobs include

• Management or leadership positions - e.g. as a junior manager:in or team leader:in.
• Project management or digital transformation - e.g. project manager in various industries.
• Management accounting, finance or accounting - e.g. as a comptroller or financial analyst.
• Marketing and Sales - e.g. Marketing Manager or Sales Manager.
• Personnel and organizational management - recruiting, HR coordination or personnel development; human resource development.
• Business start-up or management consultancy - you can set up your own company or work in an advisory service, guidance, advice or take over the family business.

You can also further advance your knowledge - e.g. in masters/master' s programmes such as SME Management or Business Development.

Yes, a semester abroad is possible and is expressly supported by the institution of higher education. It can be integrated into your studies without necessarily renewing the duration / length of studies. There are basically three options for studying abroad:

1. at a partner university of the Field of Study:

• Semester abroad at the University of East Stroudsburg (ESU), USA.
• Semester abroad at Emporia State University (ESU), USA
• Semester abroad at Black Hills University (BHU), USA
• Semester abroad at the Central University of Technology (CUT), South Africa
• Semester abroad at the Vaal University of Technology (VUT), South Africa
• Semester abroad at the University of Abertay Dundee, UK

2. at a partner university of Aalen University of Applied Sciences,
3. at a freely electedinstitution of higher education abroad.

The starting point for studying abroad is always an advisor from the International Representative and/or the International Center.

The practical semester in a school, practical semester abroad can also be carried out at a company abroad.
