Markus Glück received an appointment to the Chair of Automation and Robotics in Production in the Field of Study of Applied Sciences Mechatronics at Aalen University of Applied Sciences in March 2021. Previously, from 2016-2021, he was Chief Innovation Officer and controller at the gripping and handling specialist SCHUNK GmbH & Co in Lauffen/Neckar; responsible for Research and Development. From 2002-2016, he was Managing Director of Technologie Centrum Westbayern GmbH - a production mechatronics associated institute of Augsburg University of Applied Sciences in Nördlingen - and from 2008-2016, he taught as a Professurer / member of the academic staff at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Process Engineering at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.

Markus Glück studied electrical engineering at Ulm University. He then worked as a research assistant/associate/fellow at the Daimler AG research centre in Ulm, before becoming a member of the management team at Mattson Thermal Products GmbH.
