The academic study and workplace training; academic knowledge and practical experience; theory and practice of instrumental analytical chemistry and bioanalytics are the main contents of my teaching. These contents are special fields of the masters/master's programme "Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry". In addition to advanced courses / specialties in the fundamentals of inorganic, council and physical chemistry, the course focuses on topics in analytics, spectroscopy and biochemistry. As Dean of Studies, Studies Dean of this exciting course, I welcome your interest and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

In the field (of) research, I am mainly concerned with the coupling of modern separation techniques (CE, LC) with mass spectrometry. As a comparatively rarely practiced School of Engineering, we have built up a great deal of expertise in CE/MS. In addition to fundamental work, this involves a wide range of applications in pharmaceutical analysis, environmental analysis and structure determination. Together with my doctoral candidates, doctoral students and students writing their Masters (UK)/master's (US) thesis or project, we have a lot of fun working in a state-of-the-art laboratory / lab.
