Equipment and services on site

Equipment for students

Students will find a number of things in the library to make their stay more pleasant. These include Table lamps for the study boxes, staplers, hole punches, a cutting machine, pens and more. To ensure a quiet atmosphere, there are noise lamps on each floor of the library. There is also an earplug machine. Lockers are located on level zero. Keys for these can be borrowed, loaned at the Service Point.

Eating and drinking in the library

Drinks in closed containers and small snacks may be brought in and consumed. There is also a water dispenser in the entrance area of the library.

Copy machine and book scanner

There is a photocopier on the ground floor near the entrance. Here you can either make copies or print documents from a flash drive. You will need your student card for this. External customers should contact the Service Point. There is also a book scanner on the ground floor. The scanned pages can be saved to a stick in various formats or sent to your mobile phone using the scan-to-mobile functions.

Vending machines: top up, pay, validate

There are various machines in the library where you can either pay library fees or top up your university card. Student cards can also be validated. The machines are available during the library's opening hours.

Learning and work stations in the library

Individual workstations

1st floor and 2nd floor

Along the window front on the 1st and 2nd floors and in front of the balconies there are individual workstations equipped with electricity, lamps and comfortable chairs on castors. If it's not quiet enough here, you can use the earplug machine.

Louder, more communicative fields (of) can be found in the group study room (BUS) on the 2nd floor and on the ground floor

There are soundproofed learning boxes for individual learners along the window front on the 2nd floor. A power connection is available. The learning boxes offer the opportunity to withdraw to concentrate on learning. There is also a more communicative field of) on the 2nd floor in the group study room (BUS room).

Armchairs for individual learning

1ST FLOOR

On the 1st floor there are armchairs that create a very quiet atmosphere due to their shape. They are equipped with laptop tables. These vacancies, (free) places do not need to be reserved.

Group workstations in the BUS

2nd floor, BUS room

There are several group work tables on the 2nd floor in the BUS room, which can accommodate a maximum of 8 people. The room is also equipped with:

  • power connections
  • a flipchart
  • Office materials (pens, stapler, hole punch...)

On the ground floor of the library there are 2 study boxes for a maximum of 4 people. Power connections are available.

Ground floor on the balcony

Three computer workstations are available on the balcony on the ground floor. Registration is done with the Campus IT identifiers. External customers receive a guest account at the service point which is valid for the respective day.

Balconies

Two of the library's three balconies are furnished with tables for studying during the warmer months. The balcony on the ground floor is furnished with sofas and armchairs. These vacancies, (free) places do not need to be reserved.
