Fees
The Semester Contribution of € 170 is made up of an administrative fee of € 80, a contribution of € 72 for the student services organization (Studierendenwerk) Ulm and a contribution of € 18 for the constituted student body.

The prerequisite(s) for the orientation semester is a general/subject-specific) university entrance qualification or a university of applied sciences entrance qualification.

Real lectures
You take part in real lectures, learn important basics that will be useful to you in any degree program and get to know life at the institution of higher education. For example, the subjects math, physics, programming and Business Administration, BA are suitable for orientation.

To support your learning process, additional tutorials are offered where you can repeat and deepen the material you have learned in the lecture. The tutors are students from higher semesters who can explain everything to you again.

The Soft Skills module is designed to teach you how to manage your time wisely when studying, how best to learn, what pitfalls there are in your studies and what technicians you can use to successfully complete your studies.

Get to know the university world
We will show you how to use the library and carry out academic research, how to write an academic research paper and how to proceed in the university world in general. We also liaise with (companies), liaise between (students and companies), coordinate act as an intermediary between.

As in a normal Studies course, you can earn credits during the orientation semester. If you pass an examination, these CPs will be credited to you. After the orientation semester, you can apply for a degree programme as normal. You must then clarify with the respective degree program whether the CPs you have earned can be credited to a degree programme.
