General Terms and Conditions for the Creation of a Job Advertisement

I. General information

  1. These General Terms and Conditions of Business and Payment shall apply exclusively.
  2. Any deviating conditions of the advertiser require the approval of Aalen University. Individual contractual agreements must be made in writing. For this purpose, Aalen University must be contacted at
    karriereportal@hs-aalen.de before posting content or creating advertisements.
  3. All advertisements are stored centrally on the university's servers. Compulsory information stored about the company includes: Company name, street and number, postcode, city. In addition, additional (not compulsory) information on the company will be stored if specified: Telephone number, company description, web address, career page web address, social media data (Facebook, Twitter, Google+), contact details (salutation, title, title supplement, first name, surname, function in the company, department, e-mail address, telephone, mobile phone, street, number, postal code, city).
    In the second step, a job advertisement with an attachment can be uploaded to the career portal. In this step, the following data is stored (compulsory information): Title of the job advertisement, PDF file (as well as any compulsory information included in the attached PDF that may be required to publish a job advertisement), company, assignment to a degree programme. In addition, additional (not compulsory) information on the company will be stored if specified: Web address for further information, start and end of publication, international or national offer.
    If no details are given at the beginning and end of the publication, the job advertisement will be published immediately and will be active for a period of three months.
  4. The job advertisements will be deleted from the university's database at the end of their publication.
  5. Every advertiser is entitled to object to data processing at any time without stating reasons. If there are still any active advertisements left relating to the company concerned, these will also be deleted.

II. Notifications

  1. Creating advertising
    To create an advertisement, you must first register a company that is authorized to advertise jobs.
    Registration is completed via the Enter Form. Aalen University maintains this company data without further content-related examination and therefore assumes no liability whatsoever for the details of the relevant company. By sending the form for registering a company, you confirm that you are authorized to disclose and publish the included data.
    In the second step, you can upload a job posting for a company. The selection of a company registered with us is accessible via the ‘Company’ selection field. Once an advertisement has been submitted, it will only be checked for viruses, malware and spam before it is published on the website of Aalen University. Its content will not be checked and uploaded content and information will not be changed. The storage of all data transmitted and required for publication will be stored on the servers of Aalen University for the time of publication. Aalen University therefore has no control over the content. [See § 10 TMG]
  2. Rejection of advertisements
    Aalen University reserves the right to reject advertisements based on their content, origin and/or technical form according to standardised, objectively substantiated criteria if their content should infringe legal stipulations or official regulations or if their publication is intolerable for Aalen University.
  3. Liability
    3.1 The advertiser is solely responsible for the legal compliance of the content of the advertisement. The advertiser entrusts Aalen University with the advertisement and its content, including but not limited to the absence of any third-party rights. Aalen University is not obliged to verify that advertisements do not infringe the rights of third parties.
    3.2 The advertiser shall indemnify Aalen University against all claims by third parties arising from the placement.
    3.3 Any errors contained in manuscripts or caused by unclear information shall be the responsibility of the advertiser.
    3.4 The review of proofs, drawings and samples by the advertiser releases Aalen University from any responsibility for errors that are not the subject of complaint.


III. Final provisions

  1. Place of jurisdiction is Aalen, Germany.
  2. Any ancillary agreements, amendments and supplements must be made in writing in order to be effective; this includes but is not limited to the revocation of this provision.
  3. The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply to all legal transactions between the contracting parties excluding the UN Sales Convention.
  4. If one of the preceding provisions should be ineffective, the effectiveness of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The ineffective provision shall then be replaced by a mutually agreed provision that closest reflects the economic purpose of the ineffective provision.
