More than 20 students of the 3rd semester of the bachelor's degree course in optics/optometry were "on duty" at the opti trade fair. At the opti CAMPUS, vocational students from all over Germany received detailed first-hand background information "from students for applicants" about the optic/optometry course at Aalen University. The Aalen students also guided the numerous trade visitors through the opti SHOWCASE. The focus was on the successful positioning of the company, which was explained using modern virtual reality technology. At the opti FORUM, there was a panel discussion by Aalen master students and graduates on the topic of "Company Succession in the Conflict Area between Innovation and Tradition" and a lecture by Prof. Dr. Anna Nagl on the topic of "Disruptive Developments in the Optics Industry", as well as other well-attended lectures by Aalen students and graduates. "Thanks to the creative, committed and highly motivated students and the excellent support by the academic staff Ralf Michels and Simon Weindel as well as Mrs. Schön from the secretariat, Aalen University has once again succeeded in inspiring visitors at the opti", said Prof. Dr. Anna Nagl. Thomas Truckenbrod, President of the Central Association of Opticians and Optometrists (ZVA), and his wife were once again really impressed by Aalen University's appearance at opti 2020.
