Center for Optical Technologies

Additive manufactuered optics

The ZOT (Center for Optical Technologies) is a research institute and the optical center of expertise at Aalen University. There, the various departments of the optical technologies of the university are grouped together under one roof. The ZOT is engaged in the development of new deterministic and economical production methods for innovative optical components. Additionally a wide range of optical measuring instruments are available and new optical measurement techniques are developed. In addition, the ZOT is engaged in the development of optical lighting systems based on additive manufacturing and laser material processing .
